This is not an honorable company I had medicare, From 1/1/2016 to 5/24/2018 Blue Cross premiums were paid by a trustee in New York. I discovered on 5/24/2018 premiums still being paid, canceled policy, was informed expect a refund. Didnt happen. Made complaint with DMHC. Finally received a refund for $3,274.32. Over payment amount $41,150.00 refund amount $3,274.32 They kept $37,875.68 for doing nothing They paid ZERO claims. Go elsewhere BEWARE

BCBS is some big conglomeration that holds its self free from any responsibility of the insanity occurring in the health field today. What has happened to me in the past four years would be a laundry list for me to write. Just know that they will complicate the most simple of situations and then take no responsibility at all. BCBS Will point their fingers at Christ Advocate Center (Who is it they’re advocating for- not the patients!) who intern will point their fingers at Blue Cross Blue Shield or your primary care physician – or even at you. No one cares about overbilling; no one cares about your treatment or MIStreatment; no one holds their contracted doctors to standards; and EVERYTHING... Read More

These fools took money out of my bank account without warning or permission. They where NOT on auto draft. I had not intended to pay December's premium because the policy was useless. I was paying the monthly premium on the first business day of the month. When I did not pay December...because I did not intend to, they took it right before Christmas without permission. I'm just floored by their complete infringement on my privacy. They used information saved on their web page without permission.

BCBS will take drastic measures to cover up their inaccuracies. They push their responsibility onto you when it is their job to have claims processed correctly. The coding, billing, and accurate processing of claims is a very complicated process and BCBS will have customer service reps read or copy & paste information from a manual to try to intimidate you when you have legitimate inquiries. These inquiries go back and forth in a frustrating, time consuming, ugly war until someone gives in. Fortunately, I am a RHIT certified by AHIMA and have been in this line of work for over 10 years and can 101% guarantee in Blue and White (EOB's) that THEY ARE INCORRECT!! I thought about... BCBS does not pay for colon cancer screening with Cologuard! Our doctor thought they did & so my wife was tested. Now we have to pay $650 from our pocket! Meanwhile, a colonoscopy that cost $2,000 would have been covered? When you buy their insurance the agents will say screening for cancer is covered (don't believe them). They are salesman. If a disease doesn't kill you, the insurance company probably will.

Blue Cross Blue Shield is a terrible insurance company. They pay no claims, thus maximizing their bottom line. Their customer service consists of automation which is meant to divert calls away from their reps. If you ever do reach a rep, they are trained to communicate that they will not pay in a claim- based on some non- sensible insurance scam. It’s amazing that this company is allowed to operate in this fashion, basically collecting premiums, not paying medical providers, allowing the crooks who manage this company to steal from the public.

As a 25 yr old young lady, i dont go to the doctor often. One, i dont go because the outrageous copays. I might as well wait till im near death to figure out whats going on. LUCKILY I am blessed enough that my employer pays for my insurance premium, but let me just say this. MY half of rent is about 520.00 ( this isnt even a nice home, i live in the hood) and then to think that the plan i have is 569.00!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! is fucking outrageous. It is probably cheaper to DIE! I cannot believe that rate at all. it is beyond me. If i had rent and then that premium come out of my check id be left with 217 for the next 2 and half weeks. YOU GUYS ARE NOT THE BEST, weve had different plans... Read More

I'm just going to say this... This page's chart and description of the Blue Cross & Blue Shield (BCBS) plans and review is inaccurate. For me personally, I have BCBS of North Carolina (NC) and I have the "Silver" plan. My drug co-payments vary, from $4 (USD) to $100(USD), my Primary is $5(USD), my Specialist is $20(USD), Emergency visits are $50(USD),and that's all i can think of at the moment. I put serious effort into this comment so please respect it. Thank you... John G (North Carolina)

Blue Cross Blue Shield is terrible. Their goal is to not pay any claims therefore the say they sent out letters when they did not, and leave their member in debt. I got with this insurance assuming that I would be covered and receive letters in a timely manner. However that is not the case, you would think that if they "contacted" a person and they person didn't respond they would send out an additional letter... I guess not. Stay away from this insurance company if you can, save your money!

Blue Cross Blue Shield is a terrible insurance company in the world. Our family paid insurance fee for three months, but their cards giving us are inactive, all our family doctors and pharmacies are telling us that they can not get through our insurance process. My family members have to spend a lot of time on the phone dealing with this insurance issues, my husband can not focus on his job, my doctor appointments have to delay. We talk with many BCBS representatives, they keep telling us to wait because their system got problems, but they don't tell us how long can be fixed. They catch our money and lie to us. How this kind of company can be trust?!! How employees can work for this... Read More
