Many Onsite Payment Options, But Not All

With proMerchant, you can take payments on-site via swipe or chip cards. ProMerchant offers various portable card readers and a stationary POS system in partnership with Clover. At this time, proMerchant equipment is not set up to receive contactless payments, which may be a disadvantage given both the growing popularity of touchless technology and heightened concerns in the coronavirus age.

ProMerchant allows you take phone orders and also integrates with your e-commerce site through an application called Authorize.net. Authorize.net allows businesses to invoice customers and facilitates subscription billing. It also integrates with your existing QuickBooks software. 

ProMerchant offers two plans to choose from based on the size of your business: Interchange Plus Fixed Rate and Interchange Plus Flat Monthly Fee. That’s a considerably simpler model than many companies offer. However, the company doesn’t not quote any per-transaction prices or plan rates on their website. That makes it difficult for customers to compare companies and plans side by side while searching for the right credit card processing system for their businesses and budget.
