California-based Ring Home Security was founded in 2012 to sell their first product, a connected, smart video doorbell which allowed customers to interact with people at their door, and even open or close it remotely. Since October 2017, they also offer a comprehensive system called Protect, with a base station, contact sensor, infrared motion sensor, and Z-wave extender for adding range to smart home devices.

Smart Solutions for Home Security

Previously known as Doorbot, Ring offers affordable, connected options for customers looking for smart solutions for their home security needs. Aside from their original product, a smart doorbell which allowed customers to view and speak with anybody at their front door, as well as lock or unlock said door, all via their app; in October 2017, Ring launched a connected home security system, called Protect, for just $199. The latter includes a base station, contact sensor, infrared motion sensor, and extender to add range to their devices. Additional products, such as cameras and solas panels, can also be incorporated. Protect offer the option of DIY monitoring or an optional plan for $10 a month, with 24/7, professionals in charge.

Regardless of the products you choose, there is zero installation cost, as it is easily and efficiently done by the customers themselves, with 24/7 customer service help available via phone or online support.

Have your ring pro, gave $250 for it and I’ve had nothing but trouble. I’m on my third doorbell now and still problems, sound is not right( hasn’t since I installed it.) internet sever is 12 feet from doorbell, still bad sound quality. And when I’m somewhere out about town, if it rings, I can’t hardy hear or talk to who’s at my door.
