Although Nations Home Warranty's coverage is in line with industry standards, their annual premium for basic coverage costs more than many of their competitor's plans. The company does business only in Texas. Its comparatively small size and lack of consumer reviews make it difficult to assess the organization's reputation.

In hindsight, I wish I had researched them on my own before purchasing a home warranty. This was my first house and I've learned a lot the hard way. :-( During the home-buying process, my agent recommended Nations. The home warranty I chose was $525 and $75 co-pay for each visit. When the dishwasher started blinking and wouldn't start, I called Nations. They sent out a repairman who assured me that the dishwasher would be repaired or replaced within 5-7 business days. What he actually did: he found dead cockroaches inside a panel of the dishwasher, took pictures, and left. Nations denied the claim but didn't bother to let me know. After 3 calls and two weeks, someone told me the... Read More

Fraud company. Will not provide a written document of their reason for denial so that you can held them responsible for their unfair decision. Denies claims than verbally provide many makeup reason of denial and will not communicate by mail or email so that you can document it to take a legal action of their unfair business practice.

DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY. Had them for many years when owned by old owner. New owners are horrible. Been in house for 5 years. Had HVAC problems many times. Electric heat goes out every year. Both up and down units. The a/c units go out every year. Both up and down. They come out. Do not repair. Take your money and tell you they can't figure out the problem. They do replace the capacitor every trip. That's just a quick fix. Now they have blackballed me. Saying I refuse to do what they recommend. Omg. Don't you think I would do anything to get cold air or heat. Problem is they send the same guy out who can't figure out the problem. I asked for a supervisor but was refused. I would bring up... Do NOT purchase coverage from this company. Run the other way as fast as you can. There aren't enough words to describe the level to which this company doesn't care but unprofessional is for sure one of them. What they "cover" is laughable as they don't send a technician to even evaluate for days. Do you leave a leak going for days? Or live without AC in 100+ degree weather for days? You might as well donate the price of the policy to charity as it would do more good there. You'll get NOTHING for the money you paid and no one all the way up to Tamera Gaede, Regional Sales Manager, cares to help. They are in business as they do all they can to insure the policyholder will resort to not... Read More

Called them because my ice machine in my freezer quit working. Their vendor, BHB Appliance Services changed some sort of chip. They told me to give it a few hours to start working. It never worked. After numerous attempts to correct the situation through Nations Home Warranty, it never got fixed. During this process, on more than 5 occasions, Either Nations or their vendor, They didn't return calls to set appointments, or missed appointments. This went on for about a month. All the while having to go to the store to buy bags of ice. Nations refused to send another vendor. So I'll be hiring someone else to do the work, sending Nations the invoice and a demand to pay letter. How can a home... Read More
