Cancellation Policy

Select reserves the right to cancel the service contract in the event of fraudulent conduct or misrepresentations by the customer, failure to make the required payments, or upon agreement.

The customer may cancel the agreement within 30 days from the order date of the agreement and will be entitled to a full refund only if no service has been provided under the contract.

After 30 days, the customer may receive a pro-rated refund for the non-discounted annual plan cost. The customer will be charged a $75 cancellation fee, plus any service expenses incurred by Select Home Warranty.

My house needed a quick roof leak patch job and nothing that was very extensive and select made all required repairs under my home warranty plan in 6 days from my call.

Stay away from this company. They do not handle your claims. It is a scam to get your money for the warranty up front then 60.00 for service calls only to deny your claim at the end.. I am on day 21 for them to fix my refrigerator and 2 service calls later and nothing but apologies and it is still under review for 3 weeks now.. They will not cover the cost to fix anything and the service techs only diagnose the problem they are not sent to fix the problem. Supervisor s will not get on the phone with you. They make the 10.00 an hour employee handle all major problems.

Select has repeatedly refused to cover repair work on my home HVAC system. Everything to them becomes a CONDENSATION LEAK or FREON LEAK which is NOT COVERED. Currently, i have a cracked CONDENSER which is listed as covered, but they refuse to cover it under the CONDENSATION LEAK clause. DO NOT waste your money with this company. I have YET to speak with someone that sounds remotely American, and it is IMPOSSIBLE to speak with a manager. Two words: THEY SUCK!

Pretty bad experience with this home warranty. They try very hard to get you to buy their policy but their coverage and service is horrible. Their policy does not cover many break downs. They have many conditions under which if anything breaks down they will not cover it. This company is being paid for nothing. The customer service is bad too. They are only nice when you buying their policy.

Consistently slooooow response to final resolution. It takes many, many phone calls to get contractor coordinated to look at the issue and then much longer for the contractor to negotiate with with Select Home Warranty. If you have an upgraded piece of equipment that failed, they will not provide an upgraded replacement. If you have an emergency, this is the very last place you should look! I asked for a refund on the remaining portion of my warranty. They said it will take at least a month to process. Its been longer than that and I'm still waiting. My next stop is the BBB.

Was very frustrated that I had not received service on my ceiling fan claim. The support guy was very kind and patient with me and listened to my complaint. He said he would mark the claim URGENT and I should be hearing from them soon.

Select Home Warranty (SHW) has been immediately receptive to and helpful with a claim that was made. They actually have gone above and beyond what we expected with repairs on the home we moved into. The protocal that is followed to file a claim is flawless and the follow-through unrivaled. I cannot recommend highly enough SHW. It also gives piece of mind know that when something does break or have problems, a reliable and vetted repair company is hired by SHW to fix the problem! Bravo to all at SHW.
