We contracted with North American Van Lines to move our belongings from the northwest Chicago suburbs to Fruita, a small town in western Colorado. If you hire these guys, I will guarantee they will be breaking many of your items. While North American wrapped the furniture, we packed all the boxes ourselves. We spent hundreds of dollars for moving boxes, bubble wrap and other packing materials to make sure our items arrived safely. When the boxes were moved from our house into the trailer, they were in perfect condition. It didn’t matter. Our items did not break because of the way they were packed in the boxes. They broke because of the way the boxes were loaded and crammed on the... Read More
The movers departed prior to finishing the job. They left furniture and boxes in my garage that I had asked them to put upstairs in my den. When I called the driver and asked him to return to finish the move he told me he was on his way to another job and I would have to finish the move myself. I'm a senior citizen with back issues. Besides not finishing the job, they put boxes and furniture over scratches and a 1/4" gouge they took out of my wood floor in the living room. I believe they did this to hide the damage they caused. After reading about Aldo DiSorbo and various Yelp reviews, it became apparent that my contract needs to be canceled. After calling all day and being transferred from their "customer service" to voicemail that is their "cancellation department" (which does not seem to exist), it appears that it is going to be a struggle to get this voided and to get the cancellation number that the contract states is needed to make it official. A cancellation is simple but North American Van Lines is proving themselves as unreachable, dishonest, and actively hostile. Customer service is a joke and the whole thing is a run around for a simple voiding of something that was scheduled less than 24... Read More
Horrible company! They lost or damaged many of my belongings, completely lost my couch and stole my bike (claimed I didn't have a bike). Over $5,000 in damaged/lost items, sent check for $150.00. Wrote to CEO and he told me to jump in a lake. I highly recommend steering clear of this company!
My husband & I were extremely happy that we chose North American Van Lines when we moved from upstate NY to Utah. The local company In Glens Falls, NY couldn't have been more cooperative and helpful. The driver was a real professional. Wish I could remember his name. Due to his expertise, every item arrived in perfect condition. We highly recommend North American. Thank you North American Van Lines!
