We purchased 2 Bruno stairlifts back in September of 2024. Overall, it's a very effective system. We have a safety concern that we believe needs to be addressed, we had the distributor that sold and installed the product out, and they agreed there was an issue, but at that point, they said they were not able to correct the problem. We've called the company and left numerous messages, yet no callback. Based on the lack of response we also have written the Better Business Bureau hoping that they will be able to get some type of response back from Bruno, but no response via this method either. You would think a company would take safety concerns very seriously, but Bruno does not! What I... Read More
101 Mobility installed the Bruno CRE-2110 in my home on 6/2020 for a disable person from stroke. It stopped working (error code F2, L2) on 12/2022. Paid them $295 to fix it. Now (10/10/2024) it just stopped working again with the same error code. It just stopped in the middle of going up stairs. This is a life and death for a disable person. Just called them again. Really frustrated. Please don't ever buy Bruno.
Purchased an outside stairlift just over 2,years ago. The unit now doesn’t work! Internal metal supports failed. It’s been 5 months and it’s still not working. Can’t call anyone in charge at the company, only customer service via email. Bruno is a disgrace, I thought a US made product and customer service would be better than this. Don’t buy this product.
Bruno Elite is descending at a scary, noisy fast rate when carrying my 340 lbs. With other lighter weights, it is not a problem coming down at a normal speed. What’s the problem?
I've spent thousands of dollars keeping my 'Bruno elite curved' stairlift running in the 6 years I've had it. Do I have a lemon or is this common? my motor is bad, the brushes were replaced, the charger went bad, the wheels went bad causing the whole wheel assembly to be replaced, etc...
A few months back the VA had one installed in my home. It has been nothing but a headache. Makes Noise when going up and down. Leaving a black stain on my NEW carpeting, and on the rails. Every time person comes out to look at it , he says will be here next week, and next week never arrives Last time he said the rollers were bad, then what is the black spots that when you touch feels like oil. I feel i have been to easy, so now he was supposed to bring repair man last week, no one showed as always. My new Carpeting is Ruined, and my neighbors ask , what is that black stain on your stairs I feel like I have no choice but to file a clam with the VA. Is this the way this company teats... Read More
We have two Bruno Stairlifts, both installed by MITS of Waynesboro, VA. Both have operated without major problems. When we have needed a minor adjustment to a switch or sensor, MITS has come the same day or no later than the next business day and quickly made any minor adjustment.
We picked Bruno because of it's high rating, and we picket MITS because they are a local company. Beware sellers who seem to be in your area but are really scores or even hundreds of miles away Try getting same day service from them. (And MITS has never charged us for these minor service calls, or for lubricating the track periodically.)
Beware! I’ve been waiting for 2 months to have my chair lift completed. Part of the lift was improperly manufactured and had to be returned. I’m still waiting!
Horrible! Had stairlift installed last year, then the Dealer I bought it from lost their Dealer designation because "they didn't sell enough stairlifts per year". WHAT! So 6 months after it was installed they were not even allowed to complete WARRANTY WORK! Called Bruno, they said HME is the ONLY DEALER NEAR ME, which is 150 km away. Would be a $300 service call, then they called back and said sorry we only service equipment we installed. Now I am stuck with a stairlift I can't use, that is supposed to be warrantied. POOR BUSINESS and TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE.
Purchased a Bruno Elan, and it is really a lifesaver. Use it all the time . So much easier to get up and down the basement stairs. It's very smooth and quiet. Simply love it, and so does my wife.
Bruno does not stand by their customers vs their dealers. I had a horrible experience with a dealer and five years later I need a part and have to go out of my area in order to not have to deal with this dealer. A simple part should be able to be ordered from the company itself. The chair was improperly installed and I have spent the last 5 years balancing on a narrow step at the top of the stairs in order to sit in the chair. Only a few inches above this narrow step was a landing where I should have been able to get out of the chair. When I called the dealer a few days after the installation, he wanted to charge several hundred dollars to come out and look at the problem. I didn't... Read More
Had an Elan stairlift installed in 2 hours. It is so smooth and quiet compared to other stairlifts. Makes going up and down the stairs a piece of cake. I would recommend this stairlift to anybody in need. I just love it . makes it easy to bring items up and down from the basement Kudos to the Bruno Company.
I am a widow with a very limited income, so putting out $8,000 for ability to stay in my home is a big deal for me. I have been totally disappointed with this product. I purchased 2 chair lifts for my home less than one year ago. It took 7 attempts to get them installed and operational, and I have had to call for repair already, NOW, the slow speed has become an issue. It actually takes 52.2 seconds to descend 13 stairs. The service is completely lacking and they do not listen when I tell them my concerns. I would not recommend this product to anyone.
Parts other than minor things and batteries are very difficult to obtain. Dealers won't step over territory lines and parts are only available thru them. Our nearest dealer is 4 hours away. Since they didn't install the lift, they won't help with parts or information. Very standoffish, even arrogant.
We had a Bruno stair lift installed a little over a year ago by a Bruno dealer. Overall, a good product. However, before you purchase one, you may want to note that Bruno only has a 30 day labor guarantee, and labor charges and travel time after that can be very expensive.
