I did not chose to be financed by discover my loans were bought out by them. Now I know why no one will take discover cards. The company is unethical and is a terribly bureaucratic. They have unenrolled me in autopay 3 times in the last year. Then they contact my co-signer and tell them I am late on my payment before they contact me to tell me I am late on my payment. All the while I think things are automatically being taken out of my account because I am signed up for autopay and never asked to not be signed up anymore. I applied to be my son's co-signor. I submitted the application and uploaded the required documents within the next 24 hours. I included in those documents a letter that explained my employment situation, I started following up with Discover one week later. I reached out essentially on a weekly basis for six weeks. They continually asked the same questions of me each time I called to check on the status of my application. The questions they kept asking were answered in my letter of explanation, part of my original application.
