Services and features
PlushCare’s weight loss and management program includes access to a customized physician-backed treatment plan that may combine recommendations for changes in diet and physical activity with prescriptions for weight loss medication.
In order to receive a personalized weight loss plan, patients must first book an initial visit with a PlushCare physician to discuss your medical history as well as your health and weight goals. The doctor will then most likely order some lab tests to confirm what the best course of treatment will be for each patient. Eligible patients can follow up with their physicians to discuss getting a prescription for medication.
Some of the weight loss and type-2 diabetes medications that may be prescribed by PlushCare physicians include:
-
XenicalⓇ - oral
-
WegovyⓇ - injectable
-
SaxendaⓇ - injectable
-
ContraveⓇ - oral
-
Zepbound™ - injectable
-
MounjaroⓇ - injectable
-
Victoza Ⓡ - injectable
-
Ozempic Ⓡ - injectable
The PlushCare weight loss and management program also includes ongoing treatment monitoring for each patient, which entails continuous monitoring from a care team and their physician to ensure they achieve their weight and health goals.
