Goldco stands out among precious metal investment companies by providing some of the most extensive educational materials we have seen in this category. We were impressed by their thorough and well-organized presentation of the benefits of precious metal retirement investing, the variety of resources the company provides, and the relatively objective tone the company takes when discussing options for their customers.

Customers who work with Goldco can choose to invest in gold, silver, platinum, or palladium, but the company emphasizes gold and silver on their site. They do, however, provide real-time pricing information for all four metals on their site for direct purchase and placement in a precious metals IRA. Collector (numismatic) coins are not qualified by the IRS for retirement accounts and Goldco doesn't sell them. I am a stay-at-home mom and work part-time and wanted to diversify my small contribution to my IRA but sadly this company only helps those in a higher income bracket. I had wanted to start with 2,500 but apparently, there isn't a way for a normal person to use this company as they won't help you if you don't have 25,000 to invest.
