This is the worst insurance on the face of the earth. My husband needs a special therapy and it was denied. Trying to appeal for him to get this therapy is horrible. It was denied because they said he has dementia. What a crock of crap. They don't even know how to read a report. He suffers from MDD, not dementia. My husband's life is in their hands. When I can get Medicare, I WILL NEVER GET UHC INSURANCE. THEY SUCK.

Purchased insurance through Marketplace. I was supposed to pay $50.00 co pay to see an in network doctor. However after making the appointment the doctor was told that I had to meet my $7,500 deductible first. That isn't the way it was written in the description of the plan. When I cancelled the policy in the middle of the month they refuse to prorate my premium and refund the balance of the unused premium. This is not right!

Rob K Dental insurance is supposed to pay up to $500 per year. UHC only paid $465 even though I spent in excess of $500. They refuse to pay the rest of the money.

Awful. Called several times to talk with a rep, and their accents were so thick I couldn't understand them. I asked for an "on-shore" rep and they hung up on me.

Please be careful when working with UnitedHealthcare. I had an awful experience with them when trying to register a United Healthcare Golden Rule account. They were unable to help me register despite talking to 10 different reps (including their managers and tech reps). Somehow they managed to mix up my old employer account from 2021 to a totally separate individual plan. Beyond the issue they were consistently RUDE and INCOMPETENT. If you have United Healthcare good luck

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. I called them before some major testing that I had to have and asked for coverage/pricing for these tests. Everything they told me was a lie. Ex: Your xray is 100% covered yet I had to pay a copay when I got there. I called to ask how this happened. Twice Sheila and Josefina said they would call me back to address my concerns or a manager would and since 2/8/2023 I have not heard back from anyone. I am going thru some health concerns right now and they are NO HELP!!! They are actually causing me more stress. Avoid using them if you can.

DIY UHC Insurance… I have dealt with UHC for several years now as guardian for my handicapped brother. Their provider listings are poorly done making it much more difficult, since they often don’t tell you that a neurologist does or doesn’t treat epilepsy. It’s almost impossible to find eyeglass providers covered by the 20/20 plan. I wasted 6 hours as the providers listed mostly did not take UHC. Today, I had the same issues while trying to find home health PTs. After wasting about 30’ calling places only to be told they don’t do home health, I called UHC and asked the navigator to give me a list of home health PT. Cortez called me back a few hours later with 4 agencies. When I... Read More

4 months ago I submitted two greviances against United of Healthcare (UHC). One of the greviances involved the avoidance out-of-country customer service to release the call at the end to start the survey. Out of the dozens of calls I have placed and requested the survey at the start of the call I observed none of the UHC agents release the calls to start the surveys. This is a continuing issue even today when I called. I was placed on a silent hold today after the discussion ended as I always am and one hour later the line was released without the survey starting. I have spoken with the out-of-the-country call center director and manager and believe these individuals are condoning and... Read More

I am a severely disabled individual. I signed up with UnitedHealthcare Medicare Advantage because my disabilities require the extra benefits they provide. I have been with them for 4 months, and have made countless phone calls to them about various things. I have never been treated SO POORLY by customer service agents. I even tried to file a grievance against one and they refused to provide me with any kind of copy or proof of the grievance (despite assuring me that I would get it at the beginning of the process)!. I'm in the process of contacting corporate because I know from friends and family that my experience is not unique. These agents are uneducated - uneducated about the needs of... Read More
