You fail to mention that you only receive points if you book the rooms via Best Western. Any third party vendors such as booking.com, etc. do not enable you to receive points. I find this odd because the hotels experienced the occupancy and received the rack rate for the stay. I spent approximately $1,000 in various BW hotels and received NO POINTS because I booked them through booking.com. I suggest you highlight this restriction in your discussion of this program. You do not earn points with a stay, you earn points ONLY IF YOU BOOK THROUGH BW and then completing the stay

Each BW property is privately owned and the owners set the daily # of rooms they will book with points. Some have daily limit set at zero. Any desirable destination we've ever tried to book with points has returned zero availability. Calling the toll free number for booking does not help. BW is at the mercy of the individual owners. This program seems to be worthless.

I received an email saying I was eligible for a $50 Cdn gift card, which I was unable to redeem online. After several phone calls, and waiting over an hour on each one, I connected with their office in Phoenix, explained the problem, and was told I could redeem it and receive via email, in 3-5 business days. Waited, and waited. Finally called again, another long wait, got the answer that it takes 20 days (because of Covid—-huh?) still waiting, and today is August 4th, requested it on July 12th. Travel would have been nice with the extra benefit. I seriously think there are many other reward plans that have better service, and I shall use them in future, even though I really love the BW... I've had a very difficult time redeeming my points. Everytime I redeem them they say they have sent them to my inbox and I do not receive them. I've called several times and after talking to four people I spoke with a lady named Victoria who is very defensive and unprofessional. She didn't transferred me over to a lead named Serena who is very professional and helps me with my situation however that was after speaking with four people previously. It should not be this hard.

I have accumulated 165,000 points.on the 14th December 2018 I redeemed most of these points for e-gift cards to buy a new washing machine.I received an email stating that I would receive my ecards within 2-5 days. Well this didn’t happen so I emailed Best Western and re dived an email advising that I would receive my ecards within 1 to 2 weeks.I find this incredible that all is required is to email me some ecards. Not a physical package. Why is this taking so long. This looks very much like a scam.
