Features and Services                                 

You’ll be eligible for different membership levels depending on how frequent you stay at InterContinental Group properties and how many points you earn in a calendar year. You can also become an InterContinental Ambassador for an extra fee or a Royal Ambassador by exclusive invitation.

You can also choose to redeem your points for miles through its IHG Rewards Club Customer Care Center. Its mileage redemption rates may vary per airline and you can redeem your miles with one of its partner airlines such as Emirates, Etihad Airways, Delta SkyMiles and British Airways. 

Its Rewards Club Points & Cash program makes it easier to use your points by combining them with cash to redeem rewards nights and great merchandise.

We really enjoy staying at the Holiday Inn Express in Sunnyvale, CA. . It is nice and clean and the staff are friendly and helpful. The manager is Elvin and he sets the tone for all the staff. They seem happy to be working there too. Tania at the front desk and Alecia in the breakfast area go above and beyond to make our stay very enjoyable. We always choose to stay there when we are visiting nearby.

We stayed at the Mankato (MN) City Center Hotel on 7/13/2022 and had a horrible experience. The hotel was recently sold and is soon undergoing renovation. It should not even have been open for business. Room 1: all wood furniture was marred, the leather desk chair was ripped, the bathtub was filthy, and I had to repair the bathroom toilet so it would flush as it had been jerry rigged previously. We finally changed rooms. Room 2: wood furniture was also marred and the water in the bathroom sink came out in a cold trickle. We only had two wash cloths/bath towels and the hand towels were actually bath floor mats! No staff at the front desk so every time we needed assistance we had to... Read More

I booked a room online at a Holiday Inn Express in Goshen, NY using one my free anniversary nights. When I booked it, it was booked with an anniversary night, It didn’t tell me how many points the night would be if I booked it using my points. After we stayed there I looked at my account and noticed that instead of them using my free anniversary night they deducted 49,000 points from my account. I have been an IHG member since 2011 and nothing like this has ever happened. I called customer service and was told that an anniversary night was worth only 40,000 points so they deducted the points from my account and there was nothing they could do. They confiscate the points due to covid, they charged higher prices, committed a 3000 points refund that never posted, liars liars, who they ignore and hate non whites.

BEWARE, ALL POINTS EXPIRE IF NO STAY IN 365 DAYS WITH A "QUALIFIED HOTEL". Even though I have been a member since the program began and stayed frequently when I worked. But now that I'm retired and can travel leisurely, all points are LOST! Now I will stay at ANY other hotel chain BESIDES IHG!!!!!!!!
