Overall Rating: 3.7 / 5 (Very good)

Private MD Labs is a great choice for customers looking to buy personalized packages and save money in the process. However, the lack of customer feedback for the company as well as their tight price range and absence of certain common tests leave them a step behind their competitors.

Private MD Labs Services

Services - 3.9 / 5

Private MD Labs offers single tests and test packages, yet, unlike other competitors, they fail to provide gastro-intestinal and drug-related tests, among others. Moreover, they do not offer DIY kits that allow customers to collect their samples at home; these must be taken at one of their partner laboratories. Luckily, don't require appointments for sample collections.

Private MD Labs charged ma $60 for a certain hormone testing, and a week later I got a Labcorp invoice for $400. Aside from the serum hormone results there was a blood panel with a few other markers , which I never purchased and requested, and the website staff told me it was done by accident. Now they are trying to"reach a decision and inform me on an outcome. "??? How outrageous that sounds?! I have been using 2 other sites for testing for years, and this was the first time I ve tried those people and will definitely will be the LAST! Lack of professionalism and no competence!

Takes too long to get results, test results are kept by the company and you cannot access on Labcorp's portal. In past I have had the results days earlier using other companies that allow the full use of Labcorp's tools. They worsen the experience, by restricting your access.

I had a really bad experience with Private MD Labs. They would not refund me my $170 spent on testing that I NEVER had performed. Apparently, they do not care about extenuating circumstances (in my case the extended hospice care and death of my mother) in which I was not able to get the testing conducted before their self determined expiration date. They were also very rude on the phone and the “manager” wouldn’t give me her name and ultimately hung up on me. This is not a reputable company at all!
