New HUBBLE customers receive their first box of contact lenses for free, though there is a $1 shipping charge. But before you can purchase any contact lenses, you must get a valid prescription from a doctor. HUBBLE can send you a list of eye doctors in your area if you need a valid Hubble prescription. Scheduling and paying for the appointment is up to you, though.

Types of Contact Lenses

HUBBLE currently focuses on selling daily contact lenses to people without astigmatism. It also does not do bifocal, multifocal or colored contact lenses. It's possible that HUBBLE, which has only been around since 2016, will eventually expand its product line to cater to these individuals, but for the time being, you must look elsewhere if you'd like any type of specialty contact lenses.

Contact Lens Brands

HUBBLE sells its own brand of contact lenses made by the manufacturer St. Shine specifically for HUBBLE. The lenses are FDA-approved and made from high-grade methafilcon-A hydrogel material with 55% water content. All of HUBBLE's contact lenses also have UV protection to protect your eyes from exposure to the sun's harsh UV rays.

Extras

Unfortunately, HUBBLE does not currently offer extras like contact solution, eye drops, contact cases or lens inserters. This is another possible area of expansion for HUBBLE in the future, but the omission of these products shouldn't affect most consumers as you can easily pick up these items at many stores in your local area.

Shipping and Handling

HUBBLE is a contact subscription service, after your first two weeks free, HUBBLE will send you a new box of 60 contact lenses every 28 days for $36 per shipment. You'll also pay a $3 shipping charge. You'll have to hand over your payment information when you pay the $1 shipping charge on your first free box so if you decide not to continue with your HUBBLE subscription after receiving your first box, you'll have to remember to cancel your subscription before you're charged again.

The company currently ships contact lenses to all 50 states, some U.S. territories, including Puerto Rico, Guam and the U.S. Virgin Islands. Residents of the United Kingdom, Germany, the Netherlands and Canada may also purchase HUBBLE lenses at this time. As the company grows, it may begin to offer contact lenses to residents of other countries as well.

It usually takes about 2-3 business days to receive your contacts after they're shipped, and since the lenses are shipped out on a regular schedule, this can be an added convenience for you.

You can reach out to HUBBLE by email if you have any questions about the service or if you want to change or cancel your subscription. Unfortunately, it doesn't offer live chat or phone support, so there's no way to get immediate help if you need it. It would be nice to see HUBBLE add additional methods of support, but for now, you'll just have to wait a little while to get a response.
