Overall Rating: 3.5 / 5 (Very good)

The Frigidaire FGID2479SF has the basics - a removable third rack to make it more adaptable, stainless steel tub, and a sensor that will adjust the cycle depending on the level of cleaning needed. Unfortunately, it doesn't really go past the basics. Bringing its score down as well is the fact that, in an analysis of reviews for this model across multiple websites, consumers' opinions could be considered as mixed to negative, with many (even those that wrote good reviews) indicating that the machine doesn't really dry the dishes fully. They also note that the construction of the upper rack is flimsy.

In addition to this, Frigidaire's warranty is much more limited than other manufacturers, simply covering parts and labor for one year. Other dishwashers on our list include warranties that cover electrical parts for five years. One covers the motor for ten, and many provide lifetime warranties guaranteeing the stainless steel parts against rust. Aside from better warranties, many of the machines on our list are quieter and packed with many more useful features, while still being around the same price point.

Frigidaire FGID2479SF Performance & Features

Performance - 3.5 / 5

The Frigidaire FGID2479SF sticks to the basics of what is needed. Unlike many others, it does have a very quick cycle available - 30 minutes - which could be extremely useful when you're short on time. However, aside from that, it does not have the type of unique, outstanding features of some of the other machines on this list, all of which are around the same price point.

Frigidaire FGID2479SF Warranty

Horrible dishwasher. It doesn't clean dishes at all even after the food is rinsed off before putting in dishwasher. I've been rinsing dishes, putting in dishwasher, then when dishwasher is done washing half of the dishes again that are dirty. I have given up since it is 3 steps to do dishes. I've gone back to hand washing since that is only 1 step. If there was a 0 rating, that is what I would give it.

Cheaply made ordered it online in the store because they didn’t have a model to view. Now they won’t take it back at Home Depot. Racks are cheap wheels get caught sliding in and out. I purchased in store if l had the chance to open the door and review the racks definitely wouldn’t of purchased it. Silverware rack is also cheaply made do your reviews before purchasing online because appliance returns are not easily returned by Home Depot.

We have a Frigidaire Gallery dishwasher that has never cleaned the dishes! They come out several times to work on it and even put in a new pump when it was still new but it still didn't even clean the detergent from the area that holds it. I have taken pictures of my dishes many times hoping I could get some help but didn't. I questioned our water pressure but that was good. Our water is soft water so it isn't that. I get mad every time I use it and I use it at least once a day. It was the most expensive one in the shop as I wanted the best there was but that doesn't hold true I guess. I was so disappointed in it but the guys I believe did everything to try to correct it and I just... Read More
