The lawyer search service is free for anybody to use. Lawyer.com does not charge for matching customers with lawyers. However, any further interaction or legal service provided by the attorney can carry costs. Customers are subject to the attorney’s terms and conditions and Lawyer.com cannot guarantee services or prices .

The legal protection plans costs vary depending on whether it's a personal or family plan and on the length of the subscription. Personal plans are $14.99 for monthly, $29.99 for quarterly, and $119.99 for annual subscriptions, while family plans are $19.99, $44.99, and $179.99, respectively. Longer terms offer greater savings than shorter ones.

As far as the use of personal information, customers fill out a form with their contact info and details about their case and Lawyer.com provides this information to its network of partners. This is done so that lawyers can look at your situation and contact you to offer their services.

As such, customers agree to receive partner offers via phone or email. This can sometimes lead to unwanted marketing or communications. Opting out of these notifications can be a difficult task, and Lawyer.com does not offer a clear solution for it. The company does offer the option of contacting them if customers want to discuss issues related to the Privacy Policy.
