Zales Engagement Rings Review
Zales provides a wide collection of classic and contemporary styles of engagement rings for brides-to-be. The jewelry store allows consumers to shop online and at their retail outlets all over the country. Zales also offers other types of jewelry such as watches, rings, necklaces, bracelets, and earrings.
Services and Features
Zales line of engagement rings ranges from the simple to the luxurious. They provide rings that suit a buyer’s stone preference, metal choice, band width, budget, and style.
The jewelry store provides free shipping for purchases of $149 or more. They also offer free ship-to-store service where orders can be picked up by the client at their nearest store. Zales allows their customers to track their orders online by sending a link to their email. If somehow a client is not satisfied or happy with their item, the company offers a 60-day return period with a choice of refund or product exchange.
A Lifetime Diamond Commitment is given to clients who purchase a diamond for $200 or more. Zales commits to replacing any chipped, lost, or broken diamond for free. Along with this, the company also provides after-sales services such as lifetime cleaning, inspection, and trade-in value on bridal sets and diamond solitaires. Customers can bring their diamond in for cleaning and inspection as often as they like. For the Lifetime Diamond Commitment to remain in effect, however, they must present the diamond for inspection every 6 months.
These days, one feature that most buyers are looking for a jewelry store is a “Design Your Own Ring” service. Zales lets their customers build their very own engagement ring by choosing from 25,000 certified loose diamonds, seven different metals, and hundreds of ring styles.
Zales has a special financing offered to their customers with zero down payment required. Buyers can choose financing plans of 6, 12, 18, and 36 months with a minimum purchase required for every plan type. They also have an exclusive ten for ten layaway plan for customers who want a different type of financing.

Engagement Rings at Zales
Zales has good services and their Lifetime Diamond Commitment is definitely a selling point, provided you remember the bi-annual inspection. They are also the largest jewelry chain in the United States with more than 750 locations, so you're never far away from a store. However, two big reasons why Zales is not the best choice when buying an engagement ring are: their diamonds are not GIA and AGS certified, and their diamond clarity is graded I1 and I2 by GIA, which is not a good grade for a diamond’s quality.
