If I could give zero stars, I would. We spoke with a representative [Michael Young] and he got us set up for a policy on a house we're planning to close on. We waited for confirmation on the policy, and waited, and waited. As the closing date approached, we received a call from him saying to give him a call back, no big deal. We did, no return call. Tried multiple times over the next four days. Nothing. Sent emails, called again. Find out through another call [again still can't get a hold of Michael] that they just need confirmation that we'll handle a small bit of left over mold [which our inspector said was not a problem] withing 30 days of closing. I received a quote in September from Amica with all the normal questions and being a single parent buying my first home I answered all questions to the best of my abilities. Received a good quote and went forward with the insurance. Had a inspection as I have owned the home for 11 years and have not had any MAJOR ISSUES with anything structural. The inspection showed that i needed a partial roof replacement. I was told that due to the roof damage they were dropping my insurance stating that i had lied when asked about my roof. OK No.1 - i do not go up on my roof, #2 - there is NO LEAKS in my attic to refleck the damage on the roof . I called and customer service was not... Read More
