Earned Points

Each membership level offers a different points system. Minimum points that can be earned are 10 per dollar on up to 4 rooms per night for qualifying stays. Points are earned when rooms are paid in full revenue excluding taxes, restaurant, and other incidental charges. Bonus points also vary on the type of membership. Up to 50% elite bonus points are given with exclusive upgrades and services.

The Choice Privileges Signature Card

• 2 point per $1 spent on all purchases
• 5 points per eligible $1 on purchase of Choice Privileges points or Choice Hotels gift cards
• 15 points per $1 spent at eligible Choice Privileges locations
• 8,000 anniversary bonus points every year with a minimum total purchase of $10,000

Gold

• Earn up to 10% elite point bonus
• 100 to 250 bonus points earned for participating U.S. and Canadian hotels: Econo Lodge, Suburban, Rodeway, Sleep Inn, Clarion, Quality, MainStay, Comfort Inn, Ascend, and Comfort Suites

Platinum

• Earn up to 25% elite point bonus
• 100 to 250 bonus points earned for participating U.S. and Canadian hotels: Econo Lodge, Suburban, Rodeway, Sleep Inn, Clarion, Quality, MainStay, Comfort Inn, Ascend, and Comfort Suites

Diamond

• Earn up to 50% elite point bonus
• 100 to 250 bonus points earned for participating U.S. and Canadian hotels: Econo Lodge, Suburban, Rodeway, Sleep Inn, Clarion, Quality, MainStay, Comfort Inn, Ascend, and Comfort Suites

Redeeming Points

The company offers free hotel stays at over 6,300 Choice hotels worldwide.  Free nights are available from 6,000 to 35,000 point which excludes Choice Hotels located at Australia. Points required to acquire a free night stay at Choice Hotels based in Australia are 75,000. The required points also depend on the time of the year.

Choice Hotels provides another option to redeem free nights at discounted point level through FlexRewards. This applies to midweek nights, Sunday to Thursday and weekend nights including Friday and Saturday. Redeeming with FlexRewards still varies on the location and time of the year.

Upgrades

Upgrades are provided by each Choice Hotel upon check-in and are subject to availability. This applies only to a member’s personal room. Room types included in the upgrades are rooms with favored views, recently renovated rooms, and rooms on a higher or lower floor. Choice Hotels do not offer upgrades to suites or specialty rooms.

Amenities

Choice Hotels’ amenities come with complete access to high-speed internet without additional charges. They have 24-hour business center equipped with the latest office and anti-virus software for business guests. Rooms also have charging stations available for tablets, phones, cameras, and laptops.

Other amenities include ergonomic desk chairs, exercise room, swimming pool, smoke free zone, 24-hour marketplace, Grab It & Go breakfast bag, and free hot breakfast buffet.

Reservations

There are no guarantees that rooms are available upon reservation. They allow extended check-out time as late as 2 pm. It should be requested at the hotel before the posted check-out time.

Choice Hotels offers hotel guests a great selection of reward program that lets them save and earn points with each stay. Free nights at higher end properties can be earned while staying at Choice’s budget brand hotels.
