Consumer Reviews

IdentityIQ is a BBB accredited business and carried an A+ grade by the organization. The customer complaints the company has generally received center around cancellation and billing issues. However, IdentityIQ has responded to or resolved the majority of such complaints.

Bottom Line

IdentityIQ offers a good range of identity theft protection features and updates their services to provide a strong list of monitoring/reporting, score simulation, and family protection1 options, although these are mainly available only with the most expensive plan. Price-wise IdentityIQ is more or less in line with competitors offering similar services. One major plus is the personalized identity restoration assistance. While many companies offer advice, IdentityIQ provides a dedicated case manager who will communicate a plan directly with the victim.

The $1 sounds good but "DON'T FALL FOR THE FREE LUNCH" There is always a string attached.... I signed up with company in around end of August for the $1 and checked it out , when you call to cancel or pause in which I WAS going to resign up early 2020 , but instead when you call to cancel they give you a additional unmotivated sales script. After you say no to that, then they get a bit iggy and when you ask for a refund you are told you will be BLACKLISTED and not able to use the service again. This is basically a "TIME SHARE SALES PITCH mixed with Car Dealership sales tactic's with no real care about your credit or business. smh Thanks a lot for.... nothing

I signed up for the promotional week trial, after spending some time on their website looking to cancel the membership I found out you had to call. Was told I missed the time to cancel the trial and was charged the entire fee. Kind of upset I asked to speak with another representative regarding the issue and was met with attitude from the customer service representative. I was already upset so i just decided to cancel and take it as a lost. Three Main Issues with this situation: - Why do I have to call to cancel? Seems a little shady making it so inconvenient to cancel a membership. Had no problem taking money over the internet but forced to call and cancel. - Customer Service... Read More

Irony...a credit protection agency charged my credit card without my authorization. I had lost my debit card that was associated with my IdentityIQ monitoring service. I received an email from them on March 10th that we were not able to charge my credit card and asked me to update my profile, which I elected not to do with my new debit card number. Today, April 11th, I was charged twice for $14.95 on my new card which I never gave them the account number. I called the company to request a refund and to ask how they got my new debit card number and I was told that my bank gave it to them (which is not the case, I verified with my bank). I was told that they would only refund one charge for... Read More

This company is a complete RIP-OFF. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THEM. They lock you into recurring payments. Then cannot backdate cancellations. You have to call back when it's about to expire, or you will be charged another month. If you choose to cancel immediately, you are still charged but will not be able to use the services for the rest of the month.
