Northern Trust features a total of seven equity index funds that consumers can opt to invest in. Four of them focus on foreign, global, or international stocks, using company indexes that imitate the MSCI Emerging Markets, ACWI IMI Core Real Estate, World ESG Leaders, and EAFE indexes. Of the other three, two are cap index funds: one small-cap, and the other mid-cap. These track indexes that imitate the Russell 2000 and S&P MidCap 400, respectively. Lastly, the company's standard fund, the Stock Index Fund, imitates the S&P 500 and offer the most predictable investment outlook for the long term.
