Founded in 1993, Spectrum is a telecommunications company that offers internet, TV, and mobile services to customers in 43 states. Services may be purchased separately or in cost-savings bundles. The company is owned by Charter Communications and is owned by Charter Communications.

Availability

Spectrum internet services are available in an impressive 44 states after the company's 2016 acquisition of Time Warner Cable and Bright House Networks. This makes it one of the most widespread internet service providers in the country. It's widely available in urban areas and even many rural parts of the country, which is great news for those who are tired of going without internet or battling with slow satellite or DSL speeds. You can check if Spectrum internet is available in your area by entering your address on the company's website. Then, it'll present you with a list of available options for you to choose from.

Variety

Spectrum offers 100 Mbps speed with its standard plan. They impose no maximum data restrictions. You can choose higher speeds for an additional cost. Many other fiber-optic internet providers impose monthly data caps or charge overage fees if you surpass a certain amount of data and this can become restricting for streamers and gamers that are online often. Spectrum doesn't have these limitations, so it's a great choice for the frequent internet user.

Spectrum lets you lock in a monthly service rate for 12 months when you sign up for service without signing a contract. Spectrum also offers a generous stipend of up to $500 to new customers to help you them off their existing internet contracts when they switch to Spectrum services.

Users interested in cable or home phone services have the option to bundle these with their internet service in order to receive a discount. Business owners also have the option to bundle and these plans don't have contracts either. Business owners also receive 24/7 dedicated business support to help keep their internet functioning correctly and to assist with any outages, should they arise.

Costs

The base Spectrum internet package is $49.99 per month with 100 Mbps download speeds. This includes a free modem and cybersecurity package. The listed price is a promotional rate that lasts for 12 months, but Spectrum's website doesn't share what its standard rate is so you should reach out to the company if you're interested in this information.

While this package should be fast enough for most users, those interested in higher speeds can pay an additional $20 per month for Spectrum Internet Ultra, which has speeds up to 400 Mbps or an extra $60 per month for Spectrum Internet GIG, which has speeds up to 940 Mbps. These rates are the same for business internet users. If you don't have a router, you can rent one from Spectrum for an extra $5 per month, though this is not a requirement.

Customer Satisfaction

Spectrum received mixed reviews in the latest J.D. Power Residential Internet Service Provider Satisfaction Survey, scoring slightly below average in the East region but well above average in the West and average in the North Central and South regions. Nearly all regions commended Spectrum's performance and reliability and were happy with the customer service they received when they had to contact the company.

The American Customer Satisfaction Index (ACSI) rated Spectrum a 59, which was just slightly below the industry average of 62, while the Better Business Bureau (BBB) doesn't currently have a rating for the company.

i do not advice to choose spectrum. they do not care about customers. after 2 years service become much more expensive and conditions become worse. Speak with customer service is pointless. they do not listen customers, just try to persuade according their plan.
