Company Reputation

Overall Rating: 5 / 5 (Excellent)

Saatva is an impressive company with a revolutionary suite of mattresses available in six sizes, two heights, and three firmness levels, which allows consumers to fully customize their dream bed. The company's mattresses are made from quality, eco-friendly materials and both mattresses and foundations are fire-resistant. Since Saatva does not show its products in physical stores, it offers a generous 120-day home trial, where the company will refund the entire purchase price, minus a $99 shipping fee, if the customer is not satisfied. A 15-year warranty is also included, which covers manufacturing defects. White glove delivery is offered free of charge and covers installation of the new bed and removal of the old one. On top of all these features, hundreds of glowing customer reviews on Trustpilot cement Saatva's reputation as a leader in the market.

Saatva Product Features

Product Specs - 5 / 5

Saatva mattresses feature five levels of comfort, starting with a solid innerspring support core then a layer of wrapped coils, which conform to the sleeper's body. Mattresses are designed to provide extra support where people's lower back makes contact; this results in a reduction of stress and pressure on the lumbar spine. A layer of memory foam and an organic cotton pillow top cover provide additional cushioning and support. A foam perimeter wraps around the entire mattress to avoid sagging. Saatva mattresses are made with organic cotton, recycled steel coils, and eco-friendly memory foam certified by CertiPUR-US.

Saatva offers three firmness levels: Plush Soft, Luxury Firm (their most popular model), and Firm. Mattresses are available at two heights, the standard 14.5" and the slim 11.5", which is also compatible with Saatva's own adjustable base. This base is sold separately and features a remote control that adjusts the bed's position, under-bed illumination, and the three-speed massage feature.

When purchasing a mattress from Saatva, consumers can also select from 4.75" and 8.75" foundations and an adjustable bed frame to build the entire bed. Queen and King-sized mattresses are sold as split mattresses, and the foundations are sold split as well. Additionally, Saatva mattresses are only made once your order is submitted, which means your new mattress is genuinely new.

Service Features - 5 / 5

Since in-store trials don't allow customers to evaluate a mattress accurately, Saatva doesn’t display its products in showrooms, preferring to sell them solely online. For that reason, the company provides a 120-day home trial, with a full refund of the purchase price—less the original delivery fee—if the mattress is not to the customer's satisfaction. Saatva also doesn’t charge penalty, pick-up, or restocking fees. Its 15-year warranty is quite comprehensive, as the company replaces mattresses at no cost if it's found to have defects or structural issues within the first two years of ownership. If the defect is detected between years 3-15, The Saatva Company will completely repair and re-cover only charging the transportation costs of $99 each way. However, the warranty will be voided if the mattress is used with an improper frame or if the bedding is damaged.

We bought the Saatva luxury firm and after a week it was sagging on my husbands side. He only weighs 165. We figured it was a defect so returned and got another and after a week it was sagging on both sides .I only weigh 110 pounds. We decided to return again and now we are at a loss as to what to buy. What an inconvenience. The customer service was great though.

The Zen Haven mattress (latex mattress with organic cotton cover) has a manufacturing problem which causes mold to grow in the mattress. The company refuses to make it right, instead telling me to buy another mattress from them. This is a health and safety risk. Terrible product that they DO NOT stand behind.

It is the best mattress I have ever own. Delivery on time as they said they would deliver on Saturday at noon. Noon time here they are. I have a King size - medium firm for over a year and still as good as news. You would fall in sleep almost immediately. It is pricy but worth it. Mimi Z.

We spent the most we've ever spent on a Saatva mattress in the summer of 2014. I loved it that year. My husband wanted to get rid of it at least 3 years ago citing that it was too soft! I have turned it around, head to foot, etc every few months; I have even turned it over to sleep on the underside!! There is a dip into the middle from both sides. I am trying to 'hang on' to it longer, because it was so expensive. It will be extrememly difficult to find another because reviews give you and others top marks. Did they wait for over a year of sleeping in it before reviewing? Hmmmm, doubtful.
