The company also has outstanding customer feedback and reputation online, another big plus.

SelectQuote Coverage

Level of Coverage - 4.9 / 5

Coverage with SelectQuote will vary depending on the insurance provider you choose. This is because SelectQuote is a marketplace, not a direct provider. Consumers can find a variety of plan types through the company's search and compare tool, however.

Plan Types

Part A
Medicare Part A covers services such as surgeries, inpatient hospital care and supplies, as long as the condition is medically required. Medicare Part A is provided at no charge if you worked and paid into Social Security. Part A covers:
  • Hospital Care
  • Skilled Nursing Facility Care
  • Hospice
  • Home Health Services

  • Part B
Medicare Part B covers routine doctor visits, including specialists, to treat medical conditions. It also includes preventative services, healthcare meant to prevent illness (like the flu) or to detect it at an early stage, when treatment is likely to work best. Part B covers:
  • Ambulance Services
  • Durable Medical Equipment
  • Mental Health – inpatient, outpatient and some hospitalization
  • Second Opinions

  • Part C – Medicare Advantage
Medicare Advantage plans are offered by private companies that are approved by Medicare and include Medicare Part and Part B. Medicare Advantage covers:
  • Prescription Dug Plans (Medicare Part D)
  • Vision, Hearing and Dental Care

  • Part D - Prescription Drug Coverage
Prescription drug coverage, Medicare Part D, is operated by Medicare-approved private insurance companies and helps cover the costs of outpatient prescription drugs. It can be purchased as a standalone plan to supplement Medicare Parts A and B or can accompany a Medicare Advantage plan.

    Medicare Supplement
Medicare Supplement, also called Medigap, is private insurance that supplements Medicare Parts A and B. It helps pay some health care costs Medicare Parts A and B don't pay for, such as copayments, coinsurance and deductibles. The monthly premium cost can vary depending on the type of coverage but the premium cost is offset by lower annual out-of-pocket costs for healthcare services.

This company is a scam. Somehow I got intouch with them and the agent they put me with told me she could help me get back to my Wellcare Health Insurance. After getting my info she then informed me that I could not get back the Wellcare policy that I had since 08/01/2019 which was a give back plan for medicare part B. I was currently now with United Health Care which the agent was also a scam. Was told they had a give back but a month and a half later found out that was not such. So the SelectQuote agent then informed me that the only other option I had was a plan with Cigna and I would have to change my PCP. The PCP she assigned me was not taken appointments until 12/2022 and it is... Read More

An agent from SelectQuote (actually 2 or3 agents together) quoted prices for supplement medicare insurance. I changed my mind, decided against getting the insurance. I've tried calling them to cancel but I have heard nothing in reply. The person who answered the phone call said it would be a wait of ten minutes. I waited about an hour and called back. Same non response. I left a message then telling them to cancel and to remove my credit card information from their site. I told them to shred the info. I still have not heard a word back.
