Overall Rating: 4.5 / 5 (Excellent)

The Medicare Helpline does a good job of presenting quotes to consumers in a simple fashion, ultimately providing help to those who are hunting down the best possible Medicare alternative. On the other hand, the website does lack additional resources that many other marketplaces do feature, such as articles, overviews, and guides for purchasing Medicare as a whole, as well as for individual healthcare products. Consumers should also be aware that, by providing their electronic signature, they agree to give licensed sales agents their prior express written consent and continuing permission to call them at their cell and residential phone number provided in the online quote request through an automatic dialing system and pre-recorded and artificial voice messages any time from and after their inquiry.

The Medicare Helpline Coverage

Level of Coverage - 4.5 / 5

The Medicare Helpline is an online marketplace, and as such does not offer any coverage itself. Instead, it provides access to agents from carriers offering Medicare Advantage plans, Part D plans, and Medicare supplement insurance plans. These carriers include Cigna, Aetna, Mutual of Omaha, Humana, and more.

Plan Types

  • Plan C - One of the most popular plans, it adds on a skilled nursing facility daily copay, the Part B annual deductible, and emergency care outside of the U.S.
  • Plan C - Often referred to as Medicare Advantage, it offers the same coverage as Medicare Part A & B, but is offered by a private insurance carrier instead of the government. May include additional coverage benefits for the same cost as Part B premium.
  • Plan D - Though this includes most of the same benefits as plan C, it does not cover the Part B deductible.
  • Plan D - Also prescription drug coverage, seniors are encouraged to enroll if they have Parts A & B. Many Part C plans offer prescription drug coverage so you may not need a Part D plan.
  • Plan G - Covers almost every Medicare supplemental insurance benefit, with the exception of Part B's annual deductible.

Stop calling me and telling me that dental, vision, and hearing are part of Medicare A and B. These are only available through an advantage plan, part C. I am really tired of all the phone calls especially those from a local number.

It’s bad enough consumers are inundated with non stop Medicare Advantage commercials every fall until 7 December, but now the commercials have re-emerged since the first of the year and are still being aired! I read somewhere how this is a chance for individuals to return to regular Medicare, however, these current commercials for 2022 were supposed to end on 31 March! Please, give it a rest! If people were going to switch they would have by now, not to mention the fact that CMS is wasting our taxpayer dollars supporting the commercials and the insurance companies who people sign up with. Why is CMS, basically our government, financing what is basically an insurance scam????
