ServiceMaster Restore has been in the cleaning and disaster restoration business for more than half a century. It provides intensive mold remediation and mold removal services for residential and commercial properties. This includes water damage, fire and smoke damage, weather damage, odor damage, mold damage and other specialty services.  ServiceMaster Restore’s national network provides assistance during the claims process. The company also helps evaluate each of its client’s situation, determining if replacement or restoration is a better option.

Features and Services

ServiceMaster Restore provides 24/7 response services. This includes restoring your home or business following a disaster. Common problem areas such as your home or businesses’ foundation, roof, HVAC system, drywall, gutters and furnishings are examined for mold.

Depending on your situation, removal of mold or replacement of structures or furnishing is performed. Removing mold from surfaces like floors and walls for example is done with EPA registered products. For extreme cases, replacement of these structures or furnishing is done to prevent mold from spreading further.

Aside from providing mold removal and remediation services, ServiceMaster Restore also offers mold inspection and laboratory analysis. This is done through nationally recognized testing facilities.

How it Works

  • Locating the mold and the water sources that feed mold
  • Assessing the damage caused by the mold
  • Isolating and containing the mold by using techniques like physical barriers and negative air pressure to prevent it from spreading
  • Capturing, filtering and scrubbing microscopic mold spores from the air
  • Removing mold with antimicrobial and antifungal treatments
  • Disposing of mold-infested porous materials
  • Cleaning, sanitizing and deodorizing belongings as needed
  • Repairing and reconstructing damaged areas to restore your home

ServiceMaster Restore uses infrared technology when detecting mold in your property. Its mold remediation services restore safety to your home by locating mold and water sources and assessing the damage. Next, mold is contained and isolated to prevent it from spreading. Mold is captured by filtering and scrubbing microscopic mold spores from the air. Special chemicals are then used to clean, sanitize and deodorize belongings. Depending on the assessment, repair or reconstructing damaged areas may be required to prevent further mold growth.

While doing a tear out job for me after a flood They made a mistake because of lack of experience. Cost me $500 and they tried not to reimburse me. In the meantime the workers stole hundreds of dollars of change from me. No proof so no remorse.

Last August I discovered my house flooded because of a broken pipe at 5:30 in the morning. I immediately called my insurance agent and they called Service masters. I was told SM would be right over. They arrived at 9 AM. Their attitude was very nonchalant. Meanwhile, I was in a panic. I had almost almost all the water out of the house myself. They tore out the baseboards and threw them away, which was fine. But they also ripped out the bottom of the kitchen cabinets and threw them away. These easily could’ve been saved, and they were extremely difficult to match later. They brought in dehumidifiers and blowers. I moved all of my things from the downstairs to the upstairs. Service masters... Read More

If anyone needs any restoration or remedy avoid Servpro! I have been battling them for a long time! I will just repost my update and review. I'd love to save anyone I can as they are usually recommended by insurance companies and after my recent experience with them their only positive reviews are most likely due to same situation as me. Assuming I am not the only one they offer refunds to only if they can fully silence you. UPDATE: Servpro finally offered me a refund if I would delete my reviews. They then denied me the full refund because my bbb one could not be fully unpublished! They tried to get me to sign a legal contract covering them but basically screwing me and getting me to... Very dishonest. Takes advantage of consumers lack of knowledge. Invoices against estimates as opposed to the actual work.

ServiceMaster had many people at my house while recovering from flood damage. Many people cutting up carpet and carrying it outside and moving a lot of furniture, shelving and items around. Everything was left stacked in piles since they were not the ones to fix the damage after tearing everything out. After they were done I am missing items. They only respond saying that nothing like this has happened before so I should do whatever I think is necessary. I am proceeding, trying to find a way to recover loss. I would say that if you have no choice but to use ServiceMaster you would need to inspect every ServiceMaster employee going in and out of their house.
