Please DO NOT use this company. Amerisafe Moving for if you do you will have nothing but headaches and problems. They are only a broker and they will not tell you everything. Yes, they are friendly and nice when setting everything up, but they will forget to tell you the fine details, which I will explain shortly. When you have a problem, IF and I mean IF you can get ahold of someone or get them to return your phone calls. It took me 5 emails and 4 phone calls before someone returned my phone call, only to be told to “READ MY CONTRACT”. Not to be confused with the actual movers contract. Let us look at the problem. AmeriSafe was an awful experience. They quoted a price below our possessions , we had them update it exactly what was being moved. When the movers arrived they they added on an additional fee. The truck then went to a warehouse where it was be unloaded, then reloaded onto another truck for delivery. Efforts to reach the person we initially spoke with were not acknowledged. Messages were left and never returned. Once our items were delivered one box was not accounted for. Upon contacting them we were told they would report it as missing and get back to us. Two weeks later I phoned to inquire about it and was told they couln’t help us and sent us information to submit a claim.... Read More
We came in $1029.00 over on a $6900.00 quote. Be prepared to get screwed when they show up. Customer service is useless.
Beware this company rips you off! Original Estimate was for 1335 Cu. Ft. All along in our communications with the AmeriSafe Moving Services we were assured we were only going to be charged for ACTUAL Cubic Feet utilized and not ESTIMATED. At the time of pick up in Chicago it was REPRESENTED we were using 2,000 Cu Ft of space. And were told we needed to pay the difference*approximately 665 Cubic ft extra.
