We started a search for a moving company to move from Las Vegas to Georgia. Immediately, AmeriSafe sales person contacted us. We are both veterans and wanted to get multiple bids. AmeriSafe gave us the lowest quote by 30%, we had to make the deposit immediately to keep the quote but could make changes to items, move dates, et as needed. initially we did not read the fine print that there is NO REFUND after 72 hours. Also upon getting the multiple page document, we saw that the carrier could refuse packing or demand more money on the spot if the items were different so we reviewed the list and found many things not listed. It wasn't nearly as good moving out as it was moving in when we moved to our new place. They refused to accept a standard money order when we arrived and they had our belongings here. All they desired to accept were postal money orders. The postal money orders were more difficult to obtain, but we already had the money orders. So they refused to unpack our belongings. Additionally, they demanded payment in full before unloading the $10,000 worth of goods. It was difficult enough to obtain money orders totaling $10,000. It was alright to work with the rep. I did not feel really pleased with a last-minute alteration in the delivery time schedule. They simply called me the last night of the delivery window and said, "Oh, I couldn't deliver tomorrow." The day after had to be the new date. After the delivery, my apartment's wall had one crack as well. After two months, I attempted to contact customer service, but they didn't answer.
