Apache OpenOffice is an open-source office 365 Suite currently being employed in a variety of industries. Its Office 365 comes with word processing, spread sheets, presentation, graphics, database features. Apache OpenOffice is an office productivity suite that offers a line-up of office software solutions comparable with major office suites such as Microsoft Office 365. Writer, a word processor, can be used to create and edit word documents. Apache's Draw allows users to produce simple diagrams to 3D illustrations.

Office productivity tools also include a Math feature that lets users create mathematical equations using a graphic user interface. Users can directly input these formulas into an equation editor. Apache also offers excellent compatibility with third party application for additional functionality.

Apache's OpenOffice comes with a Base feature. This helps you create and modify reports, forms, tables and queries. Base allows users to manipulate databases seamlessly.

The best thing about Apache OpenOffice is its free. It may not be as robust as the other office productivity suites we reviewed but that doesn’t stop it from hitting all the basic features required from an office productivity suite. Ideal for users that require basic office productivity features such as word processing and spread sheet creation.
