Your profile should be anonymous and you should keep identifying information like your full name, address, and phone number to yourself until you are confident you can trust the person you're interested in and decide to move your conversation off the platform and into the real world. SilverSingles reports that it performs daily profile checks to ensure that users ae behaving appropriately, but with 800,000 potential matches on the site, it's hard to imagine that all profiles are checked regularly. Then there's the question of whether you want to have your dating correspondence monitored, but we'll leave that for another day. 

SilverSingles does its part to protect your personal data by employing SSL Encryption and an undefined fraud detection system.

SilverSingles' privacy policy is not as airtight as many users would like it to be. The company makes money, in part, by partnering with advertising companies and social media platforms to serve you up product and service offers that have nothing to do with your business with SilverSingles. If you click on any of these ads, your experience is governed by the privacy policy of the company represented. So unless you're careful, you may wind up receiving a lot of unsolicited and/or irrelevant offers, The site operates on par, from a privacy perspective, with many other dating sites. It's just something you should be aware of as you consider joining any online dating site.
