Epic Demand Paid Surveys Review

There may be a whole lot of fabulous rewards available to Epic Demand subscribers. But you'll need a lot of patience to access them. Our reviewer answered 12 pages of questions—each with a dozen or more questions on it—in order to get through the company's screening process. A yes answer to a question frequently brought up sub-questions. It was genuinely painful.

That being said, once the lengthy digital interview was complete, our reviewer was rewarded with about a dozen emails. Some contained direct reward offers, but others contained invitations to join other paid survey websites and—you guessed it—more qualification questions.

Let's compare Epic Demand to some of the other services we've reviewed. Some paid survey services provide details on the types of rewards you will be offered—coupons, cash-back, or points, for example. They describe the process by which you'll earn rewards and tell you specifically how much you'll earn for participating. Others even offer an immediate cash reward for first-time participants. Some paid survey companies offer users mobile apps to make survey participation more convenient and allow you to track the awards you earn. Epic Demand falls short on these measures. 

Some websites act as marketing funnels. You're probably familiar with them. They attract you when you enter a search term in Google for a product or service you're interested in. But they don't actually sell the product or service you searched for. Instead, they sell your information to other marketers—who may or may not sell the thing you're interested in. Epic Demand appears to be one of those companies.

We reviewed the company's privacy policy and found that, by default, Epic reserves the right to share your personal information with a wide range of other companies. They also reserve the right to communicate with you with "marketing and advertising that we believe may be of interest to you." "Interest" is a very subjective term and, in our experience, may be interpreted rather loosely. That's a signal that signing up with Epic Demand may result in your being inundated with marketing emails that may be of no interest at all. Opt-out information is available in the company's privacy policy text. You are required to send an email to prevent Epic Demand from sharing your information. In addition, users should be aware that the companies Epic Demand "funnels" you to have their own privacy policies. In short, your data could be sold multiple times over when you work with Epic Demand 

All in all, if you're interested in earning rewards by answering surveys, we believe that there are easier ways to do so than by signing up at Epic Demand.
