Just wanted to send a shout out for your tech Mark on his latest treatment of my house. Once again another great job,thanks for your help.
Hired Active to treat yard and inside for pest control The first few treatments went fine both inside and the yard. Their one service tech "Drake" does an excellent job. However experiences with their other techs are less than satisfactory. They literally do the minimum and I have caught them not treating the yard and only doing a quick walk around the perimeter of the house to treat the 1 acre lot. From ringing the doorbell to "treating" my yard and leaving was literally 10 minutes. It's recorded on the Ring Camera. And showing up at 7:15pm when I've literally waited all day for the "treatment" is not acceptable. This has happened in the past with other techs from Aptive. Sorry... Read More
Promises to perform pest control at reasonable prices. We have a large area that was discussed being treated and the technician twice performed their services in less than 20 minutes. First, "initial" treatment was ineffective, and we ended up treating the area ourselves with much better results. Second treatment was 25 minutes. Decided to cancel after the minimal effort to treat the entire area.
Was charged for discontinuing services based on the contract. Would not recommend their services.
This company is horrible to deal with. They told me I was signing up for inside and outside treatments but the technicians that have showed up say they are not qualified to do in house treatments. They also randomly schedule appointments and then rarely show up for that appointment while you have been left waiting all day. Then when you go to cancel your contract, they want to charge you $199 when they are not providing the services they said I was signing up for. Completely terrible company
All they want is your money and nothing else. Very hard to cancel the subscription and when you give them permission to charge your card, if it is at the limit they just bill you without telling you. When you call and say that you are going through financial hardships they just say in order to do anything about cancelling you must pay now. Very poor customer service.
Absolutely Horrendous! Lying sales reps sign people on contracts and dont disclose any information. Then want to double charge and then a $199.oo cancelation fee. Biggest scam in pest control.
I just cancelled my subscription after receiving 2 treatments and they made me pay $199 to cancel. They offered to give me a stronger solution with my treatments but I think they should do that right away. They also offered multiple discounts when I called to cancel, but I refused. Read the contract because eventhough the guy who sold me the subscription said it would cost me $100 to cancel if I didn't complete the 12 month package, they said the contract says otherwise. Also, I had to follow them around the entire house inside and outside to be sure they were doing what they were to do. When they come to your door to solicit, say NO THANK YOU. Salesman does not give full story about the cost.
When they come to your door to solicit you, just save yourself a lot of future grief by saying , no thank you, and shut the door.
I can't say anything bad about this company. They show up when they say, do their job, and if there were any bugs, there isn't any now.
I was driving on the toll road westbound, adjacent to the 91 this morning around 7:45am. I was following one of your trucks, CA Plate: 64736M3. He was driving approximately 65 mph. I moved to pass him as I was traveling approximately 75 mph. Your driver sped up, attempting to prevent the pass. I completed the pass and the driver was following very, very closely. I sped up to approximately 80 mph and the van then tried to pass me. When the van’s passenger door was parallel to th front bumper of my car, the driver sharply cut into my lane of traffic. Aptive is a scam and I wish there was a legal way to get away from them. I've seen them pull up to my home, walk around my house in 1 lap, take a few pictures, stick a sign in on my front lawn and leave all in 3 minutes!!! I have my more issues with bugs and mice than ever before! I had a bee problem when they came to my door, which is why I gave them a chance. They sad "no problem" and came real quick for first treatment (turns out that's to lock you in before you can cancel). Afterwards, I called them many times, saying there were still bee issues and I'm deathly allergic! They came back 2 times, still bees all around my doorway to my home. I wish that I never would have contracted with this company. I thought they were going to come out on a quarterly basis, which I thought would be okay, but they come out every 45 - 60 days, which is way too often. I believe they do this so they can bill more, $128.82 each visit. They schedule visits with a 1-day notice. I was sick recently and was at the doctor's office, not knowing that they had scheduled a "treatment", until I saw the payment hit my bank account (their preferred method of payment). I called and complained, so they have scheduled a "re-treatment" at no extra charge. If there was a way to cancel this contract, I most definitely would!!
Customer service is terrible. They send me a text message stating a technician is coming on a certain date for a treatment without checking with me ahead of time to see if I'll even be home (happened 3 times); and trying to reschedule is impossible via text message. You're dealing with BOTS and so extremely frustrating. Via text message, we agreed on a date of December 27, then I receive a text message this morning (December 18) that someone will be here the following day, which was not the agreed upon date. Their service is awful. The men come to our house take a photo and then go away without ringing the doorbell. They did this on multiple occasions. Also, they failed to notice that we had a rat problem. Never again will I use this company.
Was lied to from the sales rep stating I would have mosquito service included at no cost, when I received my first statement that was not the case. They billed me for the mosquito service and did not want to provide what the salesperson and I agreed on. I canceled my service and yet they still tried to send techs out to service my property. They are now charging me to exit my contract when they are the ones who don’t want to hold up their end of the deal. Poor business ethics and principles
I called to Aptive twice to cancel the services. I've sent several emails, and they are still continue sending people and Chargin $190 usd even when they don't perform any service. What i should do to stop with this abuse. I have sent several emails indicating that i'm not authorizing any services in my property. But they are still continue schedule appointment.
Aptive goes door to door like home security services and I decided to give them a go. The problem is you do not get the same technician each and everytime and the difference in technician proficiency is like night and day. First of all, they do not let you know they are arriving and when they come to your door it is much of a surprise rather than letting you know in advance so you can place the appt on your calendar. Second, since it is always a different technician, they don't know where specific insect traps are set so they don't know to service them. getting out of contract with them is expensive, I will never use them again.

Mr Sadot Canseco was the best I can see how much time he spent cleaning and then spraying all over , My request is to have him again I like how he takes pride in his work , APTIVE must be very happy with this worker thank you again it was so nice to meet him for the first time .

I was sold on the service by a rep at my door 3 months ago . I previously had rove pest control at 49$ a month . I was told that the service would include one other treatment that rove did not treat at that cost for slightly more in monthly cost . I had rove pest for 5 years straight and they provided a good service . The rep was nice and seemed honest . He sold me unfortunately ! I then noticed that I have been paying 149$ a month ! I was blown away ! I would have NEVER agreed to 149 over 49$ for essentially the same treatment . And to top it all off . I am relatively certain I have had more bug issues since. We were nice enough to answer the door to the salesman. We were nice enough to pay for several months of service. We were nice enough to withhold complaints when they didn't follow directions. We were nice enough to cancel our service with plenty of notice. Our reward is a collections notice of 199.00 for some cute little phrase buried in their service contract. There was no notification. No email, no phone message, just a collections notice. When I called the company to rectify, the representative told me he zeroed it out, but within 10 minutes there was a message (lo and behold, they CAN leave messages!!) left that since it was in collections, they couldn't do anything about it.

They don’t do what they say they will. Then when you cancel they charge you an additional $199 because you didn’t use them for 24 months. A scam company.
I earlier added my review on 06/26/2023. During that time, the company provided a check for the payment, but when I present the check, it bounced and they did stop the check. So please be careful with this company.
