Features and Services

TopResume offers a free, confidential, and easy-to-use resume review. Simply upload your resume to their website. Response takes up to two business days and includes a professional analysis of your resume with recommendations on ways it can be improved.

 

The company provides three resume building services. The basic one is a professionally-written resume for $179. TopResume also offers the Career Evolution package, which includes a professionally-written resume and a customized cover letter. It sells for $219. The Executive Priority is TopResume’s Cadillac package. For $349 you get the cover letter and the resume, plus a LinkedIn profile makeover.

Career Evolution and Executive Priority packages come with TopResume’s 60-day interview guarantee. The company guarantees that its product will produce double the number of job interviews the client was getting before using TopResume. If it does not, the company will give the resume a one-time free rewrite. However, TopResume’s Frequently Asked Questions section states that all sales are final.

TopResume’s website also links to TopInterview, a sister product which offers expert coaching for job interviews. TopInterview and TopResume are both Talent Inc. brands.

I am extremely dissatisfied with the service I received from TopResume. I hired thier company on March 20, 2024, for an academic CV and LinkedIn profile optimization. Despite the promises made on their website and the additional cost I incurred for the LinkedIn feature, my experience has been far from satisfactory. The initial timeline provided for my document draft was March 24, which was later extended to March 27 due to the added LinkedIn service. I am in the midst of the process with them, and honestly every interaction after the initial resume review has given me less and less confidence. They seemingly assigned someone who has no experience in Chemical Pharmaceutical production/plant operations business. They offered a 48 hour turn around for an additional fee, and the resume given to us is so far off base. As an executive, I wanted a resume service that writes it, not one that I had to go into and correct even my email address. A waste of time and money.

They do not give you a money-back guarantee for a reason because they will give you a product full of incomprehensible fluff, grammatical errors, and spelling errors. The cover letter they will give you will be generic and likely just copy pasted for everyone using that service. Please avoid to not give this company your hard-earned money. They might have been good in the past, but no longer.

I had a terrible experience with TopResume.com. The quality of the resume they delivered was subpar, with numerous errors and formatting issues. Despite multiple attempts to provide feedback and ask for revisions, the writers did not implement the changes I requested. They were also very slow to respond, which was frustrating since I had paid for expedited service. To make matters worse, the customer service team was unresponsive and unhelpful.
