I am begging you DONT DO THIS TO YOURSELF. If it's raining you're screwed, regardless of data. Slows when high volume. Cancelled and have had to call TWICE to get them to send the box to return equipment. Due by 2/19 and it takes up to 7 days to get to me so it won't be back in time so I'm waiting to see if they try and charge me. I HATE this company. Use starkink, it's amazing or homefi is decent or even your hotspot on your phone would be CHEAPER AND MORE RELIABLE. ughhh. Rant done. Hope this deters you

I was a faithful customer for years but they forced me to sign a new contract when I moved to another house and couldn't even remove my old account. I had to use my wife's email account and every time that I tried to communicate with them I had to explain about THEIR incompetence and why there were TWO different account numbers. Then the service was pathetic and I never received the promised MBS. They informed me that I had to just pay for the last month that I was using it before I dropped them and they would NOT CHARGE me and early end of contract charge but did anyway and even over charged VIASAT is the worst rip off and lying bunch of thieves and I highly suggest NOT USING VIASAT

I’ve had the service for less than a year approximately 12 months not quite you go to cancel it willing to pay the late fees they’re still gonna make you pay for another whole month of service you do not want because they say there’s a 30 day notice you’re supposed to give which nowhere were we told that nowhere did I read that nowhere? Could I find that I was told to go to the legal department, seriously this is the worst Internet you’ll ever have. It’s the worst company to deal with they never do anything it’s just another disguise for AT&T and yes AT&T owns them.

These people lie lie lie.... After you are hooked up and time goes by they will send out emails and calls stating you will be interrupted or disconnected if you do not upgrade. They also will say you used all your data when in fact many including myself did not. Every rep I have talked to gave me a different story to everything.. I am not exaggerating either. This is by far in my opinion the worse. Hughes net may not be that fast but at least they will not lie and swindle you to upgrade. I have an open complaint with the FCC and I hope others will follow. Corporate greed and bad business period.

During installation, I asked for receipt for “installation fee” and he said as contracted work he was not allowed to. Not even hand written on paper, for my tax records. And, install fees are not ever mentioned until you call them; so it’s false advertising. And since when does a verbal acceptance of installation count as a signature??? I signed nothing, I got only 1 out of an 8 page contract with a computer generated signature (which my attorney says is a form of forgery). Then for about 6 hours after, I could not open app, I could not create an account, signal kept going spotty. So right away I had enough and was ready to get rid of it. Horrible internet and horrible customer service. 1, Installation, When I had ViaSat installed, the installer was incredibly unprofessional. He even had HughesNet equipment in his truck and told me not to say anything, When he hooked up the ViaSat modem (3 ports) he unplugged my prior modem (4 ports) and just left my security system unplugged without even telling me. I had to pay my security guy to fix it. When the installer created my username, he used my name and MISPELLED my name, so I was stuck with that, and he never even asked me what name I wanted. 2. New High-speed data started Dec 1, 2022. On Dec 3rd, I received an email that I had used 100% of my high-speed data. Two days of service for my plan of 50 - 60 gigabytes. After 2 days of service, my internet service constantly buffered, and speed was extremely slow. I am so disappointed in this company I choose for my internet service. It really sucks. The worse service I've experienced in a long time. There are 28 more days left in the month of Dec so what is a new customer of ViaSat supposed to do for rest of month ----- buy more data which last two days at a time? If I could do a minus I would!😡 They are the only provider in our area so they conduct highway robbery!!! We upgraded the day billing came out, and they charged us 150.00 for that billing month anyway!!! 150.00 for a few hours before billing came out. And they refused to refund this. They have us and they know it. They are horrible in their blatant thievery. Don’t ever use this company if you can help it!! They will rob you and refuse to be of any assistance. To top it off, they barely work some days!! Weak service. Nothing good can come of having them as a provider. They just stole 150.00 and pretty much laughed. Run!!!!! 😡😡😡😡

Viasat is SCAMMING you! Like other reviewers I have found Viasat to be extremely lacking in service with many of the same complaints and disfunction. Unfortunately, like others, my choices were limited to non-existent. My internet needs are fairly low so without other options I gave it a try. I went with the “Silver” plan with a 60 Gig allotment. The main use for me was to stream music, retrieve email, listen to Podcasts, do a little surfing and shopping on Amazon (all low bandwidth functions). Don't use ViaSat! They are NOT ready for prime time. I am cancelling service in my second month of disappointment & frustration. This morning, after fighting to get THEIR equipment to function, I was hung up on three times in a row by so-called Support. Had to begin again with each new chat agent. They make the tech aids (equipment manuals) available online, which tell you what it can do and what it cannot. But in reality if you change "ANYTHING" on the admin screen, it just crashes and refuses to work. And then come endless service calls, waiting in an ever-lengthening queue, getting hung up on when it's clear to the agent the problem is not fixable. Last time... Read More
