AdGuard VPN is a product of AdGuard Software Limited, a company with nearly 15 years providing internet security and data privacy software to over 70 million users around the world.

The company was founded in 2009 and is registered in Nicosia, Cyprus.

Services and Features

AdGuard provides a VPN service that uses a proprietary protocol and includes a wide range of servers. Users can download the desktop application for Windows and macOS, the mobile app for Android and iOS devices, and the browser extension for Firefox, Chrome, Edge and Opera. Users can download the app on an unlimited number of devices, but can only have ten connected at the same time.

The company offers over 65 server locations worldwide, including DNS servers that block ads and trackers and protect against malware. AdGuard’s VPN protocol disguises itself as regular traffic, making it hard to detect. This allows users to remain anonymous and safe without being required to turn their VPNs off for certain websites and apps like streaming services. Users can also use the QUIC protocol, designed to improve connections when using slower networks.

The AdGuard VPN features an Exclusions option, with which users can limit the websites and apps their VPNs are on or off for. AdGuard also includes a kill switch and auto-protection, which automatically turns on the VPN when using public or unsecured networks.
