Estech Systems, lnc. (ESl) provides highly integrated and feature-rich phone systems. They also have the ability to provide flexible solutions for those companies that cannot fully migrate to the cloud, featuring hybrid and on-premises systems. ESI, however, works best with its own phones that are customized to work seamlessly with the ESI architecture. This may be cost prohibitive for some businesses.

Technology - 4.5 / 5

Compared to other business phone system providers, ESI provides much more flexible and straightforward system packages for customers to choose based on their businesses' needs. The company offers three types of business phone system solutions, Cloud, Hybrid, and On-Premises. All plans sync the client's desk phone with their browser and mobile device via the Ditto app. Cloud services are hosted by ESI. Hybrid services offer a combination of on-site IP-based systems with hosted services, for clients that may be unwilling or unable to migrate 100% to the cloud. On-premises products are best for those businesses where moving to a cloud solution is not an option. ESI can leverage your existing infrastructure and migrate analog lines to digital, saving the customer money and allowing access to modern IP features.

Features - 4 / 5

ESI does not use generic desk phones that can be swapped to work with any system. The company designs it's own custom touchscreen phones with the ability to integrate deeply with the system and applications, and provide the user with an unprecedented level of control and communication. In light of this, they are not the best choice for a business wishing to continue utilizing their existing equipment. ESI's plans have a standard list of features compared to other providers. Some key features include web-based administration, Ditto mobile app, phone programming, presence management, visual voicemail, secure chat, click to call, and visual contact directory.

ESI Plans

Plans - 3.5 / 5

ESI does not advertise plans, or price per line per month as other carriers do. The company assesses your business size and needs and provides you with a customized quote. In order to get an idea for how much one an ESI solution would cost you'd have to contact the company directly for a demo.

ESI Integrations

Integrations

  • Microsoft Outlook
  • Skype for Business
  • Salesforce
  • Zendesk

Integrations - 4.5 / 5

ESI plans offer ample opportunity for integration, not only between desk phones, browsers, and Android and iOS devices, but with third party applications your business may already be using. These include Outlook, Skype, Salesforce and ZenDesk.

Support - 4.8 / 5

ESI really shines in the area of customer support. Technicians from the company install the entire system and then stay onsite as long as it takes to familiarize every employee with the new suite of features they will have access to. Ongoing support and maintenance is then provided by an ESI representative or reseller. Phone support is available 24/7 and chat 7AM CST – 7PM CST.

Our school adopted this system to save money in Feb. 2019. It has been abysmal. Many problems such as dropped calls, static on calls, calls that just start to ring in your ear, terrible latency... I have been documenting and trying to work with customer service for 3 years now and have gotten nowhere! I document and send them my documentation and they don't reply. When I contact them again they want documentation, which I already sent!!!! They are unprofessional and they make our school look unprofessional for using such a poor product with such poor functionality. I have given up on a normal working phone system at this point. We need to look at other systems.

This company is absolute garbage as are their phone systems. Nothing works as it should: poor call quality, the phone application is trash, and there is frequent compatibility problems with the integration of handsets around multiple work stations. Moreover, they materially alter the terms of their service agreement and provide zero notice to its customers, instead providing them with a URL that they're just supposed to check daily for updates. Once the material terms of the service agreement are altered and it hits the website, you have only 15 days to terminate your contract or you automatically agree with whatever changes ESI decides to make. Yes. This is really how they do business. DO... Read More

The on-premise system nails it! Everything was made simple and the price is right.

ESI phones and software are mostly abandoned. The installers have to call around to find parts, the documentation is shoddy at best, if it's not labeled "Old" as they label their websites on premise PBX systems. The local PBX systems do not get updates, looks like the last update was in 2012.... They release new cordless phones, ESI Cordless 3, no documentation online but you can buy it thru a vendor. Who then has no software to set it up, ESI support says use ESI Cordless 2 Software, and then manually program the phones names and locations in, along with the numbers... Upgrades are overly expensive, support is web forum based from users mostly and even then, so few exist anymore. They... Read More
