The Nokia 3310 is a cellular mobile device developed by HMD Global, a Finnish company. The phone is an updated, modern version of the original Nokia 3310, which came out in September of 2000 to great acclaim. The new Nokia 3310 offers a simple, light-weight design with a battery that can last up to a month on a single charge. The phone also features a camera, an FM radio, an MP3 player, an updated version of the game Snake, and flashlight functionality. The Nokia 3310 is available in four colors: warm red, yellow, both with a gloss finish, and dark blue and grey.

Overall Rating: 3.3 / 5 (Very good)

The Nokia 3310 should be a strong contender for consumers who are looking for a simple, easy-to-use phone with the intention of using it mainly for calling and texting. The phone features an FM radio, MP3, and a 2 megapixel camera, but the feature that really makes it stand out is its long-lasting battery life. The company claims the phone can last up to a month on one charge. Information regarding the company's customer support was limited due to a lack of online reviews and an unclear presence on the Better Business Bureau, but the company does offer customer support through FAQs, user guides, a community forum, live chatting, email, and the Nokia mobile support app. The Nokia 3310 also allows for great flexibility in terms of service plans and coverage since the consumers can acquire this phone (unlocked) from a retailer and sign up for a service plan that meets their needs. Consumers just have to make sure the phone is compatible with the service provider.

Nokia 3310 Features

Features - 2.5 / 5

The Nokia 3310 is a bar phone with a 2.4” curved display with polarized layer designed for better readability in sunlight. The phone also has a keypad with large buttons, a 2 megapixel camera with LED flash, and 2G connectivity for calling and texting. One of the most impressive features of this phone is its battery life. The battery allows for up to 22 hours of talk time and 31 days in standby. If consumers are looking for a phone that can also play music, they're in luck because the Nokia 3310 also comes with an FM radio feature and MP3 player for music, 16 MB storage, and a MicroSD card slot with support up to 32 GB. The phone also comes with an updated version of the much-loved game, Snake, which came with the original Nokia 3310. Although the phone allows for internet access, it seems to be a slow system and it is not something that the company advertises as a main feature.

Nokia 3310 Service Plan

Coverage and Cost - 4 / 5

Unlike some of the other cell phones we reviewed, the Nokia 3310 is not bought exclusively through a monthly plan. Consumers pay between $49.99 and $60.00 for the cell phone and then sign up for a service plan with a compatible cellular provider. The Nokia 3310 works with AT&T and T-Mobile. It is also compatible with GSM SIM Kits, including Cricket Wireless, Tracfone, Net10, H2O, AT&T Prepaid and Simple Mobile. Prices for plans vary widely depending on the amount of data, text, and minutes for talk time desired. Monthly charges can be anywhere between $15 a month to upwards of $100.

Nokia 3310 Reputation & Customer Service

Support - 3.5 / 5

It is unclear whether Nokia has a presence with the Better Business Bureau, but the company does have a handful of reviews on TrustPilot. Although the name Nokia lives on as a brand for mobile phones, they are not made by the Nokia corporation of Finland, but rather are manufactured through a licensing agreement with HMD Mobile, a newer Finnish company. Nokia offers support through their webpage by means of FAQs, user guides, and a community forum. Consumers can also find extra support through live chatting, email, and the Nokia mobile support app.

NO! Whatever you do do not waste your money on this device! The New Nokia 3310 is a terrible phone is so many respects. The OLD Nokia 3300 was an amazing phone! 1. The software is Extremely poorly designed. Its almost as if whoever did develop the software, was deliberately trying to sabotage the phone. 2. Vancouver Canada usage with pre-paid plan from Bell. I've paid >60$ in the first month. Yes, I use the internet for FB chat but that's beside the point, that there are cheaper smartphone plans! 3. Did I mention the user interface (software design) is; clunky, disorganised, Confusing. I've had 20$ new Nokias from Nepal that worked perfectly. For what they are,... Read More
