I live in California. CSAA accepted my home policy application and I paid for full year coverage. However, in less than 40 days, CSAA informed me my policy will be terminated. CSAA really screwed up my life and provided a ridiculous reason. I complaint to their executives but to no avail. I was doing fine with Allstate but decided to move my policy to CSAA upon their approval, thinking that I will like CSAA better. The premium and coverage are similar. Now that CSAA kicked me out, it screwed up my life because it is very hard to find home insurance in CA nowadays. The reason they gave is ridiculous. They said I have a recent roof repair and so reject me. Upon my appeal to their executive,... Read More

My claim for roofing was denied. AAA first sent 2 adjustors to our home. They agreed the storms that went through were bad and polka dotted our home roof and detattched shop/garage with chalk circling the damage. I started this fiasco in May 2022. Was bounced all over the claims department. (different personnel coming and going.) The original report, that I never got to see, was sent back to the adjustor. Then, lo and behold, my roofing claim was denied. They then sent an engineer from Illinois. All the damage he found was was deemed to have "no loss of function and the service life has not been reduced. The engineer took a nail from the shingles and said it was of insuffient... Read More

I bundled with AAA. The homeowner's Insurance policy was going to be $1400 a year. Then my agent, (who's really not my agent because they do not have agents according to the 800 number) Calls me and said they need to take photographs of the house (the house is only 6 years old, all the photos are on Zillow) because they may have charged me too much. After the photographs they decided to raise the annual premium $500 a year. I tried to challenge, but was told I could not. My original non agent lied to me and will not return my phone calls.

Denied my property damage claim with no reason. AAA hired forensic engineer from Nederveld, Inc. inspected our roof damage due to hail and wind. The inspection report showed that the hail damage of my roof was an old damage (occurred one year ago) at the time of the reporting (9/17/2021) and showed no strong wind record (>55 mph) at my location in the past 12 months. The inspection report did not even mention the hail history in the past 12 months. I send the AAA the link of hail and strong wind (70 mph) record between Jun 2021 and the day of inspection. There were several quarter size hailing and strong winds (70 mph) in the city (Granger, IN) where my property located between Jun 2021... Read More

Had a claim for water damage after a heavy rainstorm a few years back. They claimed the damage was due to "improper installation" and refused to pay. Never stated what was improperly adjusted. Then they sent me a letter saying they would not cover water damage going forward. My wife and I were too tired from work to fight with them at the time. I should've changed insurance companies right away but just looking for a new one now. Read other peoples review of AAA Home Insurance - you will see I am not alone in my complaint. We have been a customer of there's for many years too.

Unfortunately, we have now discovered for ourselves that AAA’s Home Policy is useless when making a claim. Wet carpet outside our downstairs bathroom and laundry room entryway led to our discovery of a broken drain line hidden within the wall of the upstairs bathroom that caused water to follow the drain line down to the ceiling and walls of the downstairs bathroom and laundry room. When this was discovered, we immediately called AAA Insurance and a plumber. The plumber found extensive mold/fungus hidden within the walls as he opened some of them up, which caused us to call a remediation company. We had mold/fungus coverage for $10,000 within our home owner’s policy. Ginger Tapert, the... Read More

THINK TWICE BEFORE GETTING HOME INSURANCE FROM THEM! I went into a AAA office in Atlanta to get a document notarized and was talked into switching my home insurance policy to AAA. Here are some things I wish I had known before I did that: 1) They will send an inspector who will trespass on your private property including back yard without notice. 2) They will cancel your policy over what I would consider minor issues like overhanging tree branches WITHOUT GIVING YOU THE CHANCE TO FIX THEM. 3) When they cancel your policy you will not get any obvious notice of this. All I got was an email with the subject line "Documents for your review" which I couldn't review without creating an... Read More

To Glenn G who wrote the story about your roof, I’m going through the exact same thing with AAA. Total scammers!! Here is my full review... ZERO STARS!!!! The worst insurance company ever!! Run, run as fast as you can and those of you that already have this crappy insurance and are being scammed like me with valid claims being denied, I BEG you to write to your Department of Insurance and make a formal complaint! Simply leaving them isn’t enough! I have roofing issues caused by a big storm that everyone sees, but AAA! I have watched 9 insurance paid roofs go up on my street alone and dozens more within a 1/2 mile, and more popping up everyday! AAA told my my damages weren’t even enough to... Read More
