I stayed at 4 different Wyndham hotels over a 2 1/2 week timeframe in 4 different cities. All hotels were so sub-standard it wasn't even funny. The points I was promised for staying I didn't get because they weren't properly entered into the computer (lost 9 nights of points). At the mainstay hotel (the 9 night one in Stillwater, OK) they cleaned the room 3 times and took the trash out once. Waynesville MO was dirty. Brinkley AR I was glad I had a gun and couldn't sleep for the meth heads around my truck. Bridgeport WV was a beautiful hotel with a very friendly staff. Obviously, Wyndham has no standards to carry their name. Do not trust the company to get your rewards nor the name as a... Read More

RUN FROM WYNDHAM AS FAST AS YOU CAN!!! My husband and I were staying at the Flamingo Hotel in Las Vegas when we were waived over to the Wyndham booth to speak with their representatives. We were told that we could receive free activity vouchers if we were to go on a tour of their property. Having never had any experience with timeshare, we had no idea what this would entail. After the tour, we were taken to a room with a sales representative that started telling us about the cost of ownership. EVERY SINGLE TIME we told them that the price was more than we wanted to spend, and we simply were not interested, they would lower the price and add more incentives. This happened several... WYNDHAM OPENED A CREDIT CARD IN OUR NAME WITH A 25% INTEREST RATE WITHOUT OUR PERMISSION!! We were lied to from the moment we agreed to this 45 min presentation, that ended up being 4 hours long! We were promised 3 seven-day vacations free of charge, with no expiration date, we tried to use those vacations when time allowed and found out they were EXPIRED! The availability that they boast about is complete fiction, unless you want to go to Phoenix in July when it’s 120 degrees! Maintenance fees are constantly increasing on a yearly basis. They promised us so much and delivered on NOTHING! They have put me and my family in a financial bind, our savings has basically depleted and all... Read More

My husband and I were staying at Excalibur in Las Vegas and were approached by a woman offering dining and gambling vouchers if we attended a WorldMark timeshare presentation. We went at 9am and were presented with huge “one-day only” discount. They tried to give me a credit card and I said no so they told us that we could finance a loan for the full mortgage with NO down payment. The fees would always stay the same and we could get a booking only two weeks in advance. Then came the real pressure. Three salespeople all talking to us at once, asking questions and wanting signatures. They went so fast that we didn’t even know what was being signed. The contract closing was done in a... While walking around in Las Vegas my wife & I were approached by a salesman who offered us free lunch and tickets to a Vegas show in exchange for attending a 1-hour presentation. That turned out to be untrue, as we spent at least 6 hours being berated by 4 different salesmen. It was not until they offered to open a cc to pay for the timeshare that I learned I had a credit freeze. The only way to remove this was to go back to the hotel where my personal computer was to retrieve my password as I could not remember it. They had a Wyndham salesman walk us all the way to our room. At the time it was just odd but now I see what a red flag that was. They did not trust us enough to come back.... Read More

First year member and the program seems like a racket-gimmick. The slick marketing brags you can earn something like 5 nights free by getting approved for the Wyndham Rewards Card, which is B.S. More like BARELY 1 night, if you can even find a Wyndham property willing to accept your points? Very disappointed in feeling like I've been severely duped by this program. Points appear to be worthless, as many/most Wyndham properties (especially these in CA & NV) black out their properties for points users. And even if you could find one that accepts, the points for a stay are ridiculous, like 50,000 pts. for a 1 night stay. Bad!

We were at the New York-New York hotel in Las Vegas when I was approached by some Wyndham representatives. Initially, they asked if we were guests of the hotel and if we wanted some free vouchers. Then they said they would give us the free vouchers for food or gambling and a free hotel stay but we would need to attend their short 90-minute presentation. We were in that room for over 4 hours! We thought this would be a quick presentation, so we had our young children with us. Our children became increasingly more restless and hungrier as the hours went by. Instead of being sympathetic, the sales staff utilized this as a way to pressure us into a purchase. We were told that this would... Read More

I was visiting a friend in Oceanside, CA, when I was asked to attend the WorldMark by Wyndham presentation as their guest. While we were told this would take 30 minutes of our time, we were there for at least 3 hours! The WorldMark staff told me that this was an investment that would continue to build value and that once the mortgage was paid off the maintenance fees would be a fixed amount yearly. I was a 21-year-old college student and didn’t have a significant income source, so the salesperson told me that they put a higher income amount on the application than I disclosed so I could get approved for the loan. The absolutely took advantage of my naivete as I knew nothing about... Read More

Nothing that we have been told by WorldMark has been true! When we made this purchase, we were told that this was an investment that would continue to increase in value, that the resorts were for the exclusive use of owners, that we would have no issues with booking locations we were interested in visiting, that the maintenance fees would remain low, and that we would be able to easily transfer our points to RCI if there was ever somewhere we wanted to visit outside of where WorldMark had resorts. We have come to learn that these resorts are available to anyone, which has caused us to never be able get a reservation as “exclusive owners”! Once Wyndham took over, the situation went...
