In addition to a wealth of monitoring services, MyIDCare assists clients with recovering and securing control of their data once the identity theft is discovered. The MyIDCare identity protection service is used to monitor possible fraudulent transactions made using the client's identity, including financial, medical, and dark web transactions. MyIDCare provides concierge-like services, including identity experts that will use a limited power-of-attorney (LPOA) to take recovery actions on behalf of their clients, meaning clients don't need to worry about doing anything themselves. Additionally, a trained customer support staff is available to answer any questions. Representatives can be reached over the phone or by email. The company is accredited by the Better Business Bureau and holds an A+ rating with them. However, there are a few complaints on the BBB page concerning long wait times on the phone.

MyIDCare seems a great option for consumers who want full-service identity theft protection that will protect them and their families from all sorts of threats. Pros: - Access to your credit VantageScore - Access to your Monthly 1B Report - Phone number for MyIDCare's ID Restoration service - access to lock* your Experian credit file (*not a credit freeze) Cons: - alerts and notifications are mostly un-actionable noise. Maybe interesting only to show frequency of events, but little more. The alerts rarely inform you which site has been compromised, so if you have broadly used your email or other identifiers in several accounts, you cannot know from the alert which site or business to contact. I regularly get Alerts indicating my password has been compromised but the alerts don't indicate which site(s). The Alerts say: "If the "potential site" is not named, you should consider what sites you have associated with the “Monitored Element Email Addresses” and consider changing your password on those sites." Really? I have one email address associated with hundreds of websites. I use a unique password on each site but I have no way of knowing which site was compromised because MyIDCare doesn't tell which site it is and they won't disclose the password either. I received alerts for my account. I read the alerts and don't understand what it is trying to tell me. I called them and the line was disconnected.

They don't do any recovery. They just tell you want to do and send you links which is useless. You will still spend ~100 hours of your personal time and energy recovering your own identity. DO NOT GET. USELESS.

It is impossible to engage this company in any way other than their 1800 number. I was getting ambiguous emails and no way to login. Then the account gets locked and no way to reset the password. Plan on waiting in the queue for them to give you any attention. Ridiculous customer service, if you can call it that.
