Founded in 2006 by dentist Willis Pumphrey, who had been using Invisalign and Orthoclear products with his patients, ClearCorrect is now the second largest manufacturer of invisible braces in the US. The company also operates in Canada, Australia, and throughout Europe. ClearCorrect has an A+ grade with the BBB and a network of providers in all 50 states.

ClearCorrect manufactures dental alignment trays in Texas and distributes its product to dental practitioners in all 50 states. The company makes it easy for interested customers to search its network of ClearCorrect providers on its website. ClearCorrect, along with Invisalign, are ideal for those who are willing to spend the extra money in order to go through the alignment procedure while closely monitored by an orthodontist, just as one would be with traditional braces. Cheaper options like DIY invisible braces alignment may have arisen in recent years, but ClearCorrect customers will be leaving little to chance.

ClearCorrect Product Specs

Aligner Specifications - 5 / 5

ClearCorrect invisible braces can only be procured and monitored through a physical provider. This means customers can consult their local orthodontist to see if they have the product. If not, customers can use the company's website to search ClearCorrect's network of approved providers. Ongoing monitoring is provided by the chosen practitioner, so patients don't have any contact with ClearCorrect themselves. The company offers standard full mouth and short term alignment trays, but not the partial mouth or teen compliance options that Invisalign has. However, many patients report ClearCorrect aligners are more comfortable, and many also like the fact the product is made in the USA.

ClearCorrect Pricing

Pricing - 4.8 / 5

The low end of ClearCorrect's price range is $2,000 for more rudimentary alignments. Although this isn't as low as the fixed price options some of the other providers on our list offer, it is slightly less than its main competitor, Invisalign. However, unlike the cheaper options that offer their own proprietary designs, ClearCorrect has been providing alignment trays and products since 2006, operates through the country, and is trusted by hundreds of dental professionals nationwide. With ClearCorrect, customers can be sure they are getting a tested and reliable product. ClearCorrect does not offer free replacements or retainers, and the cost of these will vary by the orthodontist you select and your location.

ClearCorrect Customer Experience

Fitting Options - 4.5 / 5

It is difficult to assess ClearCorrect's customer support, since customer's point of contact will be the provider rendering the services. In light of this, prospective ClearCorrect users are urged to use a friend or family referral, or to check on the online reputation of their chosen local provider. ClearCorrect itself, who provides the hardware and orthodontist training, has an A+ with the BBB, although this is based on no reviews. Customer sentiment about the alignment trays trends toward the positive.

Here's what they don't tell you when you sign up for treatment. It's fair to expect that you will have to wear a retainer (forever, yes forever) to keep your teeth in place. HOWEVER, it's not fair that these retainers actually *wear out* every six months and you have to replace them --- at a cost of $325 each. Not cool! The cost of these things should be minimal, and if they're going to wear out, they should give you lots of them when you graduate -- or they should disclose the full cost of treatment! If I do continue to wear these retainers for the rest of my life, the cost of the retainers will far exceed the cost of the initial treatment.

Do not use ClearCorrect! After almost a year in their aligners to fix a small problem, I have been left with a horrible posterior open bite and only two of my front incisors (one on top and one opposing one on the bottom) can make contact, so I literally cannot close my teeth! They also have my bottom teeth completely lopsided. The only idea the dentist working with me had to fix it was to keep grinding down the teeth more and more in unsuccessful attempts to make them fit. I didn’t like continually grinding down my teeth with it still not, so I went to an orthodontist and he diagnosed the posterior open bite, and they also completely mis-angled my front teeth which is causing only the... I just got my first set, but also, like Steve et al below, I have to sand down the sharp edges which irritate my tongue. My DDS is not available as it’s the weekend.

I’m only 2 months into treatment so I can’t judge the final alignment, but. I have to sand down the sharp edges of every set before I can wear them properly

I am doing a series of 16 trays, wearing each tray for two weeks, and am currently on tray #5. Each set has extremely sharp edges that slice my tongue on the sides and the inner walls of my cheeks. I have to work on each tray (upper and lower) with an emery board for about an hour per tray to get them to where I can wear them without pain and/or bleeding. It seems as if the last step is omitted in the manufacturing process and they are delivering an unfinished product. For the amount of money these cost, they should be ready to wear straight from the manufacturer. When I contacted them, here is their reply: "We would love to help in any way we can but our role is to manufacture aligners... Read More

Here to tell everyone to not use clearcorrect. I paid $1,350 for 7 trays with 3 weeks for each tray. My teeth were looking good at tray 6 but then when i put in the 7th tray my teeth are now worse than when I started. It pushed one tooth completely behind the front two and then made my bottom two more crooked than when I started. The dentist had to quickly re-scan me and then after 3 weeks of waiting clear correct is saying I need 5 more trays to fix their mistake and i have to pay for them all. It also will take a month to even start these next 5 trays. I will never ever recommend them. My husband was about to go in for his scan, and same with my sisters and parents and they will no... what a sham! after 5 months my treatment plan length, my teeth were not straight. that part is okay, it's close but when my dentist and i called to order the new trays, they told us both that they have had a surge in orders so everything is backlogged and i should keep the existing trays in for 6 weeks while they catch up with their new customers! Whoa, aren't i an existing customers that should take top priority?! not to mention you cannot get someone to help you, they just talk in circles and say they are going to call you back and don't!

I purchased the "Accelerated" Clear Correct treatment which was supposed to be 3-6 months. I am a year and 7 months into this and not only has this product NOT delivered the promised results, it has made other teeth crooked that were not crooked before!! This includes my very front tooth which now is slanted up against the other tooth. They are now expecting me to pay for further trays to correct the problem their product caused and to get the results I paid for that I have not seen. Nearly two years into ortho treatment with teeth that were not bad at all to begin with is ridiculous. They should be PERFECT by now and they are far from it. My bite is also completely off at this... Read More

I have been wearing Clear correct for over 5 years and experience nothing but disappointment. In the first few months I did experience changes with the Gap, later on saw nothing but bunch of Cases being sent to my dentist Benjamin Schwarts in NY office and every few months I went in for consultation, even the Dentist recognized that it's really shocking for you to not see much changes. I would suggest go for Invisalign as I have had a friend who chose Invisalisn over clear correct and experienced drastic results. Just recently I lost my retainers and asked If they could at least send me pair of retainers since the Cases did not do much of work. I was rejected and told that there will... Read More
