Features

Helix Core mattresses feature a 5-layer construction including three layers of foam, an 8-inch pocketed coil unit and a polyfoam base layer. The foam used in Helix mattresses varies depending on sleeping position and firmness preference. Their Helix Dynamic Foam contours to the sleeper's body, yet remains cool. Memory foam in side-sleeper and softest models provides pressure relief to the shoulders and hips. In October 2018, Helix introduced its Luxe Collection which features 6-layer mattress constructions with advanced zoned lumbar support and a hotel-quality quilted pillow top. In May 2023, the brand launched its most premium mattress models: the Helix Elite Collection. Helix Elite mattresses are approximately 16 inches tall, feature a luxurious foam pillow top, five high-density foam layers, two individually wrapped microcoil layers, and an 8 inch layer of premium steel coils with zoned lumbar support and full-perimeter edge support. Helix also offers the specialty Helix Plus mattress which features ultra-dense, pressure relieving foams and reinforced steel coils offering additional support for plus-size sleepers. The brand also offers the specialty Helix Kids mattress which features a 2-sided design and includes kid-friendly features like a hypoallergenic cover, a plant-based water-repellent, and a hygienic microbe shield.

Purchase Details

Helix gently compresses their mattresses and ships them free of charge directly to each customer's doorstep, in a box approximately the same size as a golf bag. Though every mattress is made-to-order, Helix estimates that it will arrive within 3-7 business days from the day the order is placed. Helix's 100-night sleep trial is fairly standard, however they ask that customers give the mattress a 30 day break-in period to adjust to their new mattress. In the event that mattresses are returned, Helix does their best to donate lightly used products to charities and housing facilities, or recycle them responsibly. Helix Core mattresses have a 10-year limited warranty, which covers defects not associated with normal usage, such as indentations of 1" or more. The Luxe and Elite mattresses have a longer warranty of 15-years. Normal wear requires that the mattress be supported correctly by a foundation or adjustable bed base. If the defect does fall under the warranty agreement, customers must process the return at their own cost, with proof of the original date of purchase.

Helix Sleep Inc. is a business accredited by the Better Business Bureau, holding an A+ rating and having closed 80 complaints in the last three years. It holds a 2.8 rating on Trustpilot, although it has only 4 reviews on the website, not enough to make a complete judgment. A quick search through other 3rd party review websites reveals moderate complaints with the company, occurring outside of the 100-night sleep trial return window. However, many customers reported better sleep and increased rest during initial trials of the mattress.
