Horrible- don’t order for 4 people- they consistently short you and only send for 2- so you end up going to the store anyways. Really hard to get through on phone. Also not so fresh... wasn’t fresh to begin with but when your order gets delayed somewhere overnight, it’s downright wilted and brown.... perhaps not safe? It’s a great idea. Nice graphics but really doesn’t deliver.

Looking at all the negative comments, I am wondering - are we talking about the same service? Our box is always promptly delivered and complete. The meals are delicious and we especially enjoy the variety. We have used a couple of other meal kit services but grew frustrated with the lack of vegetarian choices. I can't recommend Marley Spoon more highly!! FIVE STARS.

missing some small stuff in package from time to time. Last delivery missed two meats out of 3 receipies (steak and pork) and they only refunded me $20. Said I can reuse the rest stuff once I buy meats myself. Very mean, compared with other meal kit vendor.

If I could give zero stars I would. They were downright awful. I had to reroute a package to a FedEx holding facility because I moved and the package never arrived. Marley Spoon had the audacity to blame me. Even though FedEx said Marley spoon could easily file a claim as they realize they make a mistake and the shipper-Marley Spoon- is only one that can file it (which I’m guessing they intend to do anyway and pocket my money and fedex’s money) Marley spoon wouldn’t refund my money. I have ordered many food boxes and was looking forward to trying this one. First, I couldn't see the meals until after they charged my card for the first box and I couldn't cancel it before it shipped. When I did see the meals, I couldn't eat any of them. Since I had to pay for them, I sucked it up and chose 3 that might partially fit to my diet. My box was a day late and I was never notified that it was going to be late. When I opened the box, the pizza dough for one recipe was leaking and all over the other products. Cheese for the pizza was missing. Never again. All three of my meals arrived without the meat. I called customer service and they offered to refund me 1/2 the cost for each meal. Half the cost? How about the whole cost! Without the meat, what good are the rest of the ingredients? Customer service was absolutely terrible. They didn't even apologize and couldn't even answer a single question. They wanted to offer me credit. Not a chance. I demanded a refund -- even though it was only for 1/2. I still can't believe they only offered me partial credit for three orders they failed to ship. I cancelled my membership and will NEVER order anything again. Buyer beware.

Our second box arrived with the ice packs melted- we live in FL and I contacted them about this problem. The recipe in our third box called for 2 red and 2 green peppers and 1.5 cups of chopped green onion. We received only 1 of each pepper, and 1 rather sad looking green onion, which chopped to about 1.5 tablespoons. The quality of the ingredients was not as high as Blue Apron, which we had previously used. Customer service is poor, with phones not answered and email issues not handled. Canceled future deliveries.

This is some of the worst services I have ever received. This kind of service is only successful with the delivery on time. Four days of food were never delivered. It never arrived! I then canceled the service and they still were charging my credit card. I have not had any credits to my credit card as of yet. So they keep charging me for food I never received. BEWARE of this company...do not sign up for this company service. You will be sorry. It will cost you time and money and a lot of frustration.

I have tried many meal delivery services and Marley Spoon was by far the absolute worst experience I have ever had. My box arrived late. I got an email at 5:45pm saying it had been delayed, then received an email at 7:30pm saying it would be there that same day. Needless to say, it came a day late. I opened the box to find chicken juice all over the butter and sour cream packets that were just thrown in the box. Over the past 6 deliveries they have not shown up or were 1-2 days late. When you contact customer service their response is "we have given you a credit because your box did not arrive', that is not a credit it is money that you have paid for but did not receive what you had paid for. The shipper they use in my area consistently not delivering the box or is late by a day or so. I really would be happy with Marley Spoon if they used a different reliable shipper like UPS OR FEDEX. Also limited on the days of delivery, no delivery on Mondays., Most recently they have changed the ingredients not to include spices or liquids that come in small plastic bottles.
