Marley Spoon was the first home food service I tried. We enjoyed the meals but I originally had a Monday delivery by a company named LaserShip. Twice in a span of two months was told that packaging was compromised during delivery and didn’t receive it. I then switched to a Tuesday delivery with Fedex and so far have t had any issues. I’ve had a couple questions during prep of the meals and being told that there was no one to take the call when I called the customer service number. Frustrating. A few times they didn’t package the appropriate contents and one time sent the wrong recipe card for what I ordered but am still enjoying the variety.

For the first 2 weeks food was prompt and easy to cook and tasted great, i think it was a teaser for what happened after that. They stored the food in cardboard box using no plastic to keep the items cold they use ice packs wrapped in paper which if punctured makes your food a waste so the past 3 delivery’s were just a waste of my money & time, you can attempt to call Customer Service, and let the phone ring and or they will put you on hold till they just hang up on you, that’s messed up don’t be in this business if you can’t even follow thru with what your handing out to your customers, 3 passed shipments the meats were bad one box looked like it fell off a truck and the last one i got... Out of all of the meal services I have tried, this was by the far the absolute worst. The directions contradicted each other, the portions didn't make sense and the meals tasted horrible. I only could stand it for 3 weeks after I just couldn't do it anymore. I basically wasted money on 3 weeks of food that I ended up throwing in the trash.

I received rotten produce twice. Cancelled the service but still received shipment which they refused to refund $61, but offer a $7 refund for rotten produce. I've made several attempts to allow them make it right. The website is not user friendly either. Customer service not accommodating. I feel the prices are way over priced compared to other home deliveries that are much tastier too! I see some of the same complaints here which validates my low rating. Going back to Home Chef.

They do not let you see your options until after you pay. Then, if you are vegetarian, you have only two choices. Both are awful, in my opinion. The other choices that I could order for my husband were things he wouldn’t like.

This service is a joke! After they take your payment info, you find out that most of the meals are sold out. The ones that are left are the less desirable ones. I even looked a week ahead, and again, all of the meals labeled "Customer Favorites" were sold out. I want a refund, just unacceptable.

I have never had a late delivery, and the contents have always been what I ordered. I am extremely pleased with the meals and with their service.

Terrible customer service. I received another customers delivery and 3 days later still have not had one email or phone call returned. I paid for 3 meals and received the wrong delivery and only 2 meals. No one answers the phone, no one returned emails. DO NOT ORDER FROM MARLEY SPOON!

It is difficult to rate Marley Spoon. The food is good, the recipes are diverse and fun, the instructions are easy to follow, but... I finally had to cancel my subscription to their service because they developed a pattern of late deliveries due to unspecified logistics problems in their TX warehouse. I paid to have my meals delivered on Tuesdays, but (all FEDEX and holiday issues aside), they couldn't be counted on to hold up their end of the bargain. I counted on the meals coming, and it is an unpleasant surprise to get a call saying, "sorry..." on the afternoon is was due. They are supposed to ship on Mondays...why does it take until Tuesday afternoon to tell me they didn't ship on... Read More
