They don’t want you to see the terrible reviews many people have left on Google, BBB (Better Business Bureau) and other reputable review sites. PLEASE DO YOUR HOMEWORK AND READ THE REVIEWS ON WELL KNOWN SITES. This company is terrible and will cause you endless amounts of stress. The reviews other people have left are not an exaggeration. Scam Scam Scam. Dont waste your time. They quote one price and on moving day they show up and say four times the agreed price. This is a scam. Bait and switch.
I received a quote for the minimum 286 cu ft even though the items came out of a 4x8 u-haul with 203 cu ft capacity. Upon arrival (1 and 1/2 days late, I had confirmed 9am-1pm but sub-contractor Brooklyn Moving Inc. didn't show up until next day after 1 pm), I was presented with a blank estimate to sign and told I was over the 286 cu ft so an additional $300 was necessary. When I said no, as an attorney I never sign a blank contract and also said let's measure each item as it goes in, they took away the paperwork, shut the truck and refused to cooperate. I am an older woman that scheduled with Best Cross Country Movers to move me from Texas to Washington. It was a difficult and scary decision for me but had to be made. I contacted Best Cross Country to ask questions and start the process. It was a quick decision because the person I talked to was so great in walking me through the process and very supportive knowing I was alone and nervous. Moving day came and I was a nervous wreck. We are so pleased with the services we received. We had to move out of our home and in a few days and another company took our deposit and never answered the phone again. We were so stressed about getting out on time and they were able to get a truck out to us the next day. They were very professional and did a great job packing and handling our glass shelves and tables. We were delivered in less than a week and our items were brought to us just how they left. This experience was perfect and we recommend them to anyone moving out of state.
Best's cost estimate was 33% below the actual cost (so far). Worst yet is that all during the process the estimate for delivery of goods was 3 - 10 days. Actual delivery date will be no less than 18 days, possibly 21. Delivery estimate error is 86%. When materials are picked up, they ask when you want delivery buy. Knowing the minimum time is 3 days (in this case) that's what they were told. Weird thing is that Best does not start the clock until that date. It's like leaving for a 1:00 appointment an hour away at 1:00.
Best is a no-win situation for the customer. Strongly encourage you to look elsewhere for a mover. If I could give -5 stars I would.
Outstanding customer service from start to finish. Quote was accurate and everything was picked up and delivered as such. Communication with the moving coordinator was easy, the packing/unpacking was meticulous and the mover was wonderful. In terms of resolving an issue, they worked quickly to our concerns. Thanks for making the move for us simple, easy and successful. I would highly recommend and use them again.
The movers were great the day of our move. They were nice and very professional. They showed up right on time and finished the job faster than our original estimate. There was some traffic while our things were in transit but they still arrived with in the window we were originally given. I got a lot of quotes before going with them but they were the most affordable and the kindest people we spoke with.
The definitely deserve 5 stars. They got every aspect of our move right. I can’t think of anything of our experience that wasn’t ideal. I’m very happy with Best Cross Country Movers and would be happy to book with them again. Thank you for such excellent service.
Best Cross Country Movers really is the best. They took great care to make sure that as customers my husband and I were satisfied. We were originally recommended to them by someone in our church who used them and I have to say it’s one of the best recommendations I have ever gotten. I will be doing the same and passing on the good word to anyone I know in need of a long distance moving company. This was a great experience.
I would like to give 0/5 if there is an option. I moved from Texas to Florida with this company. Best Cross Country Movers is terrible!! It is the worst I've ever met. Never use this company!!! They lost my luggage which has a lot of expensive clothes but they don't even try to find it. They didn't even give me any updates for three weeks. I gave them a plenty of time to find it but never tried it. It is a very disappointing and the worst experience I've ever had in my life.
