I purchased trip insurance for my son in May of 2022 for his trip to Italy. Multiple flights and cancellations occurred and we are due a monetary benefit based on the plan we purchased. We have been contacting customer service 3 times a week for 12 weeks and the agent dealing with our case never returns our call or emails. Customer Service is non-existent. I regret purchasing this plan. I am so disappointed that I had trust in this company based on research and reviews.

I purchased the Gold coverage in 12/21 for a trip for 5/1-5/8. I was in a terrible accident on 4/29 requiring surgery and had to cancel my trip. All info was submitted by 5/9 and then crickets. I called Tin Leg in June and they told me Broadspire was handling my claim. Tin Leg reached out to them and we received an email on 6/21 that they wanted a more detailed breakdown of the travel expenses. We uploaded this information in 6/21 and received an email the info was received and we would hear back from them in 5-7 days. We did not hear from Broadspire. I called Broadspire on 7/21 and they acknowledged they had my information and it was still under review but she would escalate it and I... Read More

Our flight coming back to the US was cancelled and rescheduled for the following day causing us to pay for another night at a hotel. Getting a room on a Saturday in Rome at the last minute is an expensive ordeal! Luckily we had Tin Leg. We saved all of our receipts and submitted them upon our return along with an email from the airline showing it had cancelled the original flight. Tin Leg’s claim procedure was easy. We just uploaded all of our receipts and emails. Once they were reviewed,,Tin Leg called and reviewed our claim with us. A couple of weeks later it was approved. We are now awaiting the reimbursement check. Glad we had insurance and it was Tin Leg!

I chose Tin Leg specifically because it was advertised as being good to cover for for Covid related travel problems. The additional expenses my family experienced were specifically related to Covid infection with our companions. If we did not move out from the house, my entire family would get sick with Covid and be delayed for 5-7 days in France, as was the case with the people who stayed in the house. In that case Tin Leg would cover my expenses. So, cudos to Tine Leg - they denied my expenses based on a technicality. And they lost a customer as well as earned a negative review. Oleg K.
