HBO Max TV Streaming Services Review
ConsumersAdvocate.org
Founded in 1972, HBO was one of the first cable channels to offer original content, major films, and live events to subscribers. HBO Max's streaming service was launched in 2020 and gave consumers access to everything available on the cable channel through the internet. The service supports 17 viewing devices, including Amazon Fire, iOS and Android devices, XBox, PlayStation, and Roku.
HBO Max's impressive catalog includes all of HBO's original content, as well as classic TV favorites and blockbuster movies. HBO is a division of Warner Media and offers many of Warner's TV and film properties. Over the years, HBO has created some pretty famous shows—Game of Thrones, Sex and The City, Curb Your Enthusiasm, Six Feet Under, and True Blood to name a few—and continues to develop high-quality, exclusive content for subscribers.
HBO Max offers two relatively affordable plans. Its basic plan costs $9.99 a month and is ad-supported. If you don't mind watching a few commercials, that's an inexpensive way to access HBO's critically-acclaimed original series. Users seeking experience without commercial interruptions can step to HBO Max's premium access plan for $14.99 per month. They'll also get unlimited downloads of HBO Max programming and access to HBO Max's growing catalog of ultra-high definition titles. No long-term commitment is required—you can pay by the month—but users can save the cost of two months' service by purchasing a one-year plan when they subscribe.
