Founded in 2015, Sling TV is a multi-channel program distributor of TV and movie entertainment. Located in Meridian, Colorado, the company is owned by Dish Network.

Sling TV offers on-demand and live TV streaming services under three different plans. Their packaged price for both types of services is one of the most economical options on the market. With their Blue Plan, subscribers get access to 32 channels for $35 per month. The company recommends this plan for users who enjoy NCAA (college) sports and want a variety of family entertainment.  With the Orange plan, subscribers also pay $35 and get a different, 43-channel lineup that is recommended for pro football fans and news programming. Sling's combination Blue and Orange plan includes 51 channels for $50 per month. Fifty hours of free DVR recording are included with all Sling plans. New subscribers also benefit from one month of service at a reduced rate: $10 off either the Orange or Blue plan and $20 off the combination plan.

If you don't find the channels you are looking for in any of Sling's packages, you can customize your selected plan by adding channels. Some premium channels are available as individual add-ons. Sling Extras channel bundles start at $6 per month. Some of the Extras offered are News, Hollywood, Sports, and Comedy.

Sling TV is distinguished by its inclusion of local and traditional network viewing from some ABC, NBC, and FOX-owned stations. To gain access to this programming, customers must purchase an HD antenna from Sling, sold separately.

Sling TV supports one of the industry's wider ranges of viewing platforms, including Android and Apple IOS devices, Apple TV, Mac OS and Windows computers, Roku, Xbox, smart TVs from LG and Samsung, Roku, TIVO, and Amazon Fire. The number of devices you can use simultaneously varies by plan from one to three, which is less than many competitive plans allow.

Sling's advertisements are misleading. I signed up specifically to get NFL games. I got the orange/blue package because it advertised multiple streams and I wanted to share the games with family members. So tonight I was watching the game and a family member signed in on another tv to watch. When he did that, my feed was cut off. Once I finally got a real person to answer the chat on the sling website, I was told that you CAN'T BOTH WATCH THE SAME THING!! So even though I was paying for four streams, we could only watch the game on one. What a complete ripoff. That fact was never mentioned anywhere on their website, nor did I see it in any of the "reviews" I read online. The rest... Read More

While Sling TV offer many channels, it often switches to another show right in the middle of the show you are watching. It happens over and over again. Limited on demand and low save storage. Seriously considering going back to cable.
