The cost for our Safe Step Walk-In hybrid tub was $22,000 installed. We purchased in in January 2023. A lot of the features are useless expense such as the lights, the surround sound, the aromatherapy. The door handle is difficult to turn. It would have been good to have been able to try it out before investing that sum. It's very difficult for my tall, mobility impaired husband to get in and close the door. The door swing hits his feet and knees so standing or sitting it's a challenge for him. He's used the tub maybe a half dozen times in 10 months. I am able to use the shower but a standard shower is much easier to use. It was an expensive mistake on our part so that's on... Read More

In 2018 I purchased a house with your tub installed. I have never seen such poor workmanship in my life. First of all, the faucets are backwards (i.e. hot is coming out of cold and cold is coming out of hot.) The first time my wife went to use it, she nearly scalded herself because the faucets were not even marked with hot or cold on them. The workmanship for the finishing of the tub is atrocious. I have a 10 year old grandson that could have done a better job of refinishing. None of the mouldings match my original mouldings and there are gaps in transition areas. Unfortunately the original homeowner signed off on the job as acceptable. She was an elderly individual and probably... Read More

I purchased a safestep on 27 June 2016. The tub worked well until the gromet on the tub door wore down and has to be replaced. The door leaked because of that. Well after that the tub started leaking from the bottom of th door and the gromet was not the issue. That was as of around 2019. Since then, I have had four door replacements with door knobs also, but the leaking still occurs. The technician is confused why this still happens. Well as of today 21 Mar 21, seven days after talking to customer service I have a door in my living room but no technician has come over to install it. I have talked to the Region Manager multiple times explaining my frustration. Nothing has been done to fix... Read More

Let me tell you about the experience my parents, and by extension, I've had with this company. We got a tub in late March 2022 to help my father with leg pain and have something safe. While our tub was being installed, the installers almost got into a fistfight in the driveway. My mother was close to calling the cops. They finally finished, and some drywall needed to be fixed, which Safe Step said they would cover. Great! It was so uncomfortable. The first bath, well... it didn't drain quickly. In fact, it took over 30 minutes to drain at the normal drain speed. I'm not sure how that is quick. We called and had the same guy who installed the tub come out and insisted it was fine.... What they DON'T tell uou up front is that the tub takes 60 gallons of water. We have a 50 gallon electric hot water tank which does not allow enough water to use the jets! We are unable to buy a 75 or 80 gallon electric tank as they are not made anymore. So we have a very expensive tub and shower.

We ordered a safe step shower in late May 2021. We were told that Covid had not affected them at present. Today, 8/31/2021, we are still waiting for the shower. I had to call them in mid to late June and was told they were low on foam and metal parts. In Mid July, they called and said 30 more days, in mid August I called again and was told they will call their distributor for a delivery date. No word from them yet. Very disappointing as they requested half of the cost up front.

We decided about a year ago (live in Las Vegas and we are seniors) to get a Walk In tub due to my issues. The presentation was good but they give you 3 days right of recision (in very small writing and you have to hunt for the statement, plus they have everything already checked off on their contract and never went over any of it.) but you haven't even seen the product with your own eyes and they don't even have a showroom to where you can go to look at the product. You have to "Trust" these untrustworthy individuals. You have to depend on this not so truthful company as well. I needed specific things and they said - no worries this will take care of everything you need. NOT....jets are... Read More

The product is great. We one and we love it. However, that said, there is one thing about this tub and about this company that you should know: The warranty for the tub is assigned to the original purchaser NOT the tub itself. In other words, if you sell the home that the tub is installed in the warranty immediately expires and is null and void. The buyer of your home is now on the hook for any and all product malfunctions and repairs during the warranty period. Yeah, you've got that right: The warranty for a fixed asset tub that is built into your home is NOT assigned to the assign the way that the other fixed assets in your home, it's assigned to the original purchaser of the...
